I never really cared about KD as i usually am in the top 3 players on my team at the end of games however i’ve seen alot of talk about KD lately so i want to know what is considered good?
I have a 1.7

you have 0.95 actually.
I would say above 1.5 is not bad
It’s pretty obvious…
I’ve seen some onyx players that are super great, but since they play against onyx/champions their KD isn’t the greatest. It’s more than just kd, but in my opinion if you kill more than you die, you have a decent kd.
1.0 and up is all you should go for tbh
Unless you’re hardcore into slayer otherwise you’d be better ofg to get a higher one than even

These two posts are what you want to be looking at.
1.0 and higher is a good level, but does kd really matter?
If you are playing against opponents of equal strength your K/D should hover around 1.0
You only get very high K/D’s if you are playing against inferior opponents or you are kill farming in objective games.
Most high K/D’s are due to the latter… which makes them a poor indicator of actual skill level.
If you put the best 8 players in the world and got them to play lots of games against each other (constantly mixing up the teams)… their K/D’s would all be 1.0 and their win/loss ratio would all be 50%.
Even a negative K/D is ok… as long as you are contributing enough assists or other tactical advantages to the cause.
I’ve come across some very good “team” players with K/D’s as low as 0.8 or so.
You can easily conceptualise a scoreline in a game of 8 kills, 6 assists, and 10 deaths as being someone who held up their end of the bargin… even though their K/D was only 0.8!
I would think though, in the majority of cases, less than 0.9 would be a bit suspect.
1.5 or higher is good. 1.25 or below is average. Less than 0.9 is bad.
I say 1.0 is good. Just below that is ehh, and .05 and below just make me feel bad for them.
Ka/d is a more important stat.
KD does not matter anymore. It’s all about KDA now, so get them assist every chances you get!
Not mine

No, he has a 1.7 overall k/d, not just Arena as I’m guessing you were looking at you elitist…
Edit: It appears I’m a filthy liar and I apologize
anything below 2 means your a complete scrub (yes I realize I’m a complete scrub)

Warzone k/d is irrelevant.
A positive K/D doesn’t really tell you anything about the player’s ability, so arguing over what a “good KD” is, to set a bar somewhere at, let’s say 1.2, won’t make you a better player as long as you stay above the 1.2.
Unless your ego desires an above average feeling. Well then it’s probably useful.
But c’mon, that’s not what the multiplayer is about anyway.

It tells you they can consistently be relied upon to get more kills than deaths which is a pretty big factor in determining how useful of a player they are.
K/D is not worthless.
Average: 1.0 - 1.3
Good: 1.3 and higher.
Bad: 9.0 and lower.
Arena that is. Warzone K/D fluctuates wildly due to imbalances present in the mode and really isn’t indicative of skill.
