What is a good K/D average?

I know some people think it’s the devil, but I’m curious what’s considered a good K/D both overall and per season.

In previous games I was 1.8-2, but in this game I’ve stayed pretty consistently at 1.4. But I also don’t play this game anywhere near as much, and the Xbox One controllers are pure garbage, so I’m not totally surprised by that.

Also, k/d means relatively nothing in this game. I can go negative for 10 placement matches but get placed in Diamond because I was going negative against Onyx and Champions.

Over 1.0 K/D is good in my opinion. But Halo usually isn’t about K/D unless you are playing Slayer 24/7. If you tend to play Objective game modes, don’t worry about K/D.

I think K/D only really matters if you’re consistenly playing one gametype. People who play multiple gametypes might have a fluctuating K/D overall so it really varies on the player and their gameplay

I recently saw a champion level with a barely above 1 arena k/d. Gives me hope, JK, but it does show that if you continually challenge yourself it’s not about k/d because you will be playing against players with superior or equal skills.

It’s up to the player to decide that.

Often times people use it as a milestone and challenge themselves to see how high they can make it go.

I care as much about your’s as you care about mine, now can we just play Halo and stop worrying about this arbitrary number we’re not rewarded for?

“it’s the devil”, OP

I would say a 1. I mean I’m at a near 2.5, so I don’t know how good that is.

If you have at least a 1.0 you’re good brotein shake. Don’t worry about the haters

I have seen a player with a K/D of 0.88, but yet they held Champion status in Arena. In Arena, K/D means nothing if you are playing with 3 other good players.

If you play solo…1.0 and above is awesome.

If you’re constantly facing players of the same skill you should still have around 1.0 kd and 50% wins, that’s just good matchmaking. Obviously if a champion played btb all the time ,which is social , they’d have a 8.0 kd just from winning every br battle they have

In any shooter i always try to get atleast just over one. To know i’ve killed more than i died makes me feel useful. Apart from warzone, to many was to die to give a -Yoink-.

I’m at a 1.4 and I am not the best player so a good player might be a 2.0+?

Anything over 1.0 is good if you ask me.

Yeah, I pretty much only play slayer.

Actually, when I say that in my head it sounds like K/D is tha debil! And also foosball.(bonus points if ya know what movie I’m referring to!)

It depends. As others have said, your K/D doesn’t matter in objective gamemodes, and if you play a mix of all gamemodes then your K/D isn’t an accurate representation of you as a player anyway.

In my opinion, over 1.2 means a good player.

2.0 is good. Having a lot of kills to go with it as well.
