What exactly is a clan in halo? Can some people give an In-Depth description on what a clan is? I would like as much information as possible, so, I would be extremely happy if as many people could post as possible. (Repeated information is welcome, and actually appreciated, I have several reasons why I would like repeated info.)

In my own words, I’d say that a clan in Halo is simply a group of friends who enjoying playing together. Of course, not all clans are alike. Sometimes clans are made of up of friends who’ve known each other for a long time, and other times members have only met each other through their clan. Some clans focus on fun and prefer action sack and custom games. Others are ‘militaristic’ and focus on skill, teamwork, and winning. These clans prefer either team slayer or big team battle, depending on how many members they have. Clans may also have their own theme to make themselves stand out from other clans. For example, in Reach there were clans where every member had their preferred species set to Elite. It’s also common for clans to have an emblem that they all share.
In short, a clan is a group of like-minded Halo players. I can tell you from experience that if you’re looking to join a clan, it should be one that matches your play style and attitude.
It’s a group of people who play games together under a group name. That’s the basic answer. But some groups RP and some groups think they’re a military or something and like to fight other clans. (A lot of those guys take it very seriously, and some are MLG groups.
