343i are probably swimming in an ocean of money they made selling season 2 battle pass.
Gold shoulders and hands. Other various cosmetic items.
Remember they went dark/ did not communicate in season 1 until the Staten article came out in March, saying sorry for the community being left in the dark and promising to be more transparent in the future, while showing off new map concept art and a look at the Rakasha core.
So I’m gussing we will hear back from them 3/4 months into season 2 now. When the population starts to wind down again and they’re only selling re runs in the store again.
Whole game seems to be run around their ability to squeeze a profit. I mean the only thing you can depend on within Infinite is that the cosmetic store will refresh on time every week. Without fail.
Rest of the game, not so much.
We are still waiting on fixes to known issues.
They also said they would be making their own in house anti cheat. But if its anything like other products 343i have made- I wouldn’t hold my breath for it to actually work.
Just remember it took them 6 months to “plan to fix things”
Game is now into 8 months old, not one thing has been fixed.
Just the season 2 launch bugs and changes to map jumps… which no one asked for anyway…
Yay…
Yes to some degree but the game essentially launched XBox Live and features that were in the multiplayer are present globally in Live now. Those updates for 2 were rapid and there was more content from day 1 to day 180.
If we remove all the paid content creators like Mint Blitz, Sean W etc. No one would know what is coming to Infinite.
The dev’s / community manager has not done an article on Infinite since the Season 2 launch post.
All we know is based on leaks and insider info their select content creators have somehow become privy too.
I know they say its a leak etc, but the chances of accidental leaks, slipping to the same exact people every time is crazy odds, no doubt these people are paid to promote a positive notion towards the game.
It really is insulting that they continue to add more paid content but desync persists, among other issues apparently.
I feel like everyone would have been more understanding about content delay if they had been focusing 100% on issues like desync, but no, the shop gets updated consistently and works perfectly.
Gott like how 343 has it’s priorities in order. Fix the core issues wrong with the game like desync? Naw. Overcharge for ugly armor and coatings? Well they seem to have no problem with that.
I am repeating myself on this forum, but this game UI is the most broken UI I have ever witnessed for a company of 343’s size. Can anyone imagine booting up windows and the interface only partially loading, and for 8 whole months not loading properly, parts of the menu are missing, and icons are gone, If I didn’t know better, I would guess no one is home at 343i, there is no one coming to fix things.
I might even be inclined to think that with Microsoft buying up game companies they are just going to port over an existing Battle Royale into Infinite, slap a Halo skin on it., and call it a day, everything is too weird with this company. You buy a used car, and it starts exhibiting problem after problem, eventually, you scrap it.
Maybe it is going to be like the TV series, and just look like any other game, we will play Master chief who is in a dysfunctional relationship, with 2 kids that don’t take their helmets off, and he can’t find a reason to go on living. Our new mission is “Find a reason for Master Chief to live.”
