What innovation do people want from Halo?

Ok, so this post came about through me thinking whilst replying to a previous post. But it got me thinking about what could be done to make the new games more dynamic and fresh but stay true to the Halo core that we all want.

Basically my point was this (iv copied and shortened it down below):

1) we’ve probably lived through the golden age of console game innovation - theres only so many things that can be done to innovate and Halo:CE did it, incredibly well.
2) to expect it every time is setting everyone up for a fall. Computer games have been growing for 30 or so years now - sadly I don’t think there is a great deal more we can expect without another gamechanger being introduced, and that in itself would stop it being the Halo we come to love - but im open to the idea.
3) That isn’t a criticism - doing what bungie did with Halo:CE is like finding a Diamond on the beach. Thousands of company’s try each year and only rarely to we get a Gem.
4) Games that innovated; Halo, GTA, Gran Turismo, Assassins Creed - (2 and brotherhood were better tho), Sonic, Mario, super Smash Bros, Command and Conquor, and yes CoD also, there the games that will live on in memory. Evolution stands in that line with the concept but were yet to see if it really works.
Destiny? Tried and came up short. How short is personal opinion but I think most agree it didn’t have everything people hoped for or that “spark”.
Id appreciate if posters leave the constant “the beta is crap, No BR starts, 343 let us down, reach started all this, MCC was useless” and the contrary arguments at the door, let us try to be productive and say how 343 could Innovate whilst keeping the game true to what made Halo be that iconic game to begin with.

if you want to flame troll or rage please refrain as much as possible - there’s countless other posts that cater for that already.

I doubt 343 will listen, infact ill probably bet my granny on them never even seeing this post - but at least i tried even if its only for my own peace of mind at 4am.

Thanks, Chris.

Im not suggesting these replace parts or mechanics of a game, more suppliment and add to already existing parts. But My thoughts;

For Single player; larger campaign maps wouldnt be a bad thing if it was implemented properly -

Reach had larger areas that gave you more ways to do things to a degree and I kind of like that. Many of the other Halo titles give you a limited way to play your own way like Halo:CE on truth and reconciliation where you can sniper the first group - but its only very minor. Spartan Ops headed in that direction too but just seemed a little linear and basic.

For multiplayer; it’d be interesting to see an ongoing battleground - PC games have had them for years - WoW Alterac Valley battles were hours long once upon a time and Warhammer online had a constant battle that players dropped in to whenever they wished I believe. There not FPS that’s true but the principle still stands. It would also always give you an online option to drop into if the server numbrs are low… though even Im not sure on this idea completely - its just a thought.

Titanfall has a good balance of AI support that keeps the small number of actual players in game on your toes. But No freerunning or other nicked ideas 343 - youve already got jetpacks in enough.
