I am hoping for an amazing story filled with many secrets to find (Scarab gun anyone?). What are you hoping for?
Hidden secrets in the campaign would be awesome. Hoping for a new, engaging story that fits well in the Halo Universe
I’m hoping for campaign DLC.
I’m also hoping for a balanced sandbox.
I just want pure awesomeness.
I am hoping for: Good, long campaign. Good, balanced multiplayer. Best version of forge to date.

Campaign DLC will be 3 years later with Halo5.

Why not have campaign DLC? You could expand on the story taking place between each game. Image if, instead of “First Strike” (or going along side it) between Halo 1 and 3, we had had a mini-campaign showing how the Chief got back to Earth? Or we had could expand on certain events that took place along side the main CE campaign (obviously this situation assumes campaign DLC could have been possible back then, but let’s ignore that).
Or what if we could have an ODST-like expansion to expand on Halo’s story between Halo 4 and Halo 5? What’s wrong with campaign DLC?
Im hoping for no more kill boundaries so i can go where i please giving more a sense of exploration
in general i want more of a non linear campaign
I am hopeing for the forge to be greatly improved, new firefight gametypes, new firefight-like side games (like escort the survivors), and hopefully a campagn that will finallytake Halo 3 out of the #1 spot on my list of favorite campagns.
I’m hoping for a better ending… Whoops, wrong forum. x-x
I hope for a great story-line and excellent multi-player.

Nah. campaign DLC would just turn into a full spinoff just like what happened with ODST.
I am hoping for an amazing story (and crossing my fingers that Forerunners aren’t the main enemy, or that at least there would be a good reason for it) and a long Campaign more akin to Halo 3 than any other (open and approachable through many ways yet still directed and scripted where needed). I hope to be surprised. That’s why I’m going dark, most likely in the next couple of weeks as a campaign announcement is incoming.
As for multiplayer, I hope for awesome maps (each with their own “thing”- like maps from Halo 2 and 3) and I hope that the Progression System is not what we think it is, or that at least there will be a classic option from launch. It’s not THAT important to me, though, I will enjoy multiplayer in both scenarios.
From Forge, I hope for a more colorful map that takes more time to get bored of, and hopefully more varied forgable maps through DLC to help that. I hope there are many new features that help get the community’s creative ideas into the game.
For Firefight, I just hope for a more survival oriented gametype, no infinite ammo caches, no infinite lives, no limited time for standard gametypes and that hopeless atmosphere that made ODST’s firefight actually worth playing.
Theater needs to be watchable be multiple people.
Generally, I want a game that’s completely new and fresh, but that feels like Halo (much more than Reach did).

I didn’t get there yet, no spoilers!
Im hoping for a balanced sanbox, balanced maps, and a sequel to Halo 3, NOT REACH.
Better campaign, an open campaign where one can explore freely, or somewhat free like ODST or older Halos, not a CoD-style corridor like (yuk) Reach
Lots of secrets, skulls, terminals, easter eggs and other goodies
Not to mention, replay value, let our actions have some small effect on the story, or even let us choose between doing certain missions and hence affecting later missions and their outcome ^^
Seriously, what’s a scarab gun?
The ancient enemy
> I am hoping for an amazing story filled with many secrets to find (Scarab gun anyone?). What are you hoping for?
I want it to be more like halo 2. Why? Becuase they WANTED you too explore in halo 2. The gave you the scarab gun, the skulls placed far out of map, all those easter eggs such as the grunt swords, the hidden rocket marine, the hidden sniper marine. They had hidden waepons like the Energy swords/Rocket/Sniper placed throughout Delat Halo, the Rex sword on outskirts. Outskirts had the invincible warthog, the rex sword, 1 of many scarab guns. Metropolis had the scarab gun, the skulls, the SOCCERBALL!!! They WANTED you to get out of map and explore. Every halo game since then has lacked this, which has made me sad. I want to be able to explore the -Yoink- out of these maps, going everywhere and finding so many easter eggs it takes me weeks to find them all.
This is what halo 2 did right. From johnsons cigars on the Cairo, the the rex sword in outskirts, the scarab gun and soccerball in metropolis, the Dancing grunts in The arbiter, The strange flood form in (Insert mission after the arbiter) The hidden ODST in Delta halo, the hidden grunt in regret, the floating SMGs in Quarantine zone, the cowardly grunt in uprising, Rex in the great Journey. All these things are what made the game so awesome.
This is what i want in halo 4, easter eggs that are actually fun to find.
I’m hoping for relatively calm forums upon release.
