So I’ve been thinking about forerunners and precursors and all. Those who have read cryptum will understand what I’m talking about. When the humans and San Shyuum (prophets) lost the war against the forerunners, they were devolved into several species. Since the forerunners also defeated the precursors, what if the forerunners devolved the precursors into several species. This idea could work because 343i has said there is several new classes (species) of enemy. Could this be the devolved precursors? To get technical, i don’t think we will be fighting the forerunners or true form of precursors because they would be almost invincible to us humans. So, what do y’all think? Any other ideas besides the over used forerunners or precursors?
I though the forerunners only waged war with the Flood? don’t know much about precursors though, I won’t say anything about them
I do Understand the fact that the humans and prophets went to war with the forerunners and all that stuff but you’re point about facing forerunners and precursors, that war was almost 100,000 years ago If my Halo Fiction is right, what if the forerunners or precursors have gone insane and turned rampant? this could be a possiblity for the new enemies in halo 4, but I don’t really care if this is wrong just a thought on possiblilities. but I hope they don’t reveal the true enemy, I want it to be kept secret and then we will find out in game and get that HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! feeling when we find out who the real enemy is.
It’s a good idea, but I’m pretty sure that the interaction wasn’t quite so physically intimate: we’re talking about either an arm of, or the entirety of the Milky Way. There could be any number of Forerunners or Precursors anywhere that neither we nor each other knows about. I suspect that after the Precursors realised they were destined for defeat, the leadership fled and sent the Flood back to the galaxy.
