I just read somebody wrote rumors that Microsoft might stop producing Xbox and quitting console production. So I thought, What if Microsoft stop producing Xbox? What would happen to Xbox exclusive franchise industries? My possible prediction is they will all becoming Windows Exclusive games, such as Halo, Gears of War, Forza Motorsport, etc… It may sell more, because more than 50% of earth population uses Windows. Even PlayStation users can buy it, on their computer that has Windows. What do you guys think?
dont spread false rumors… i highly doubt they’d ever stop producing consoles. they’d lose a huge amount of customers. a console is so much easier to set up than a good pc.

Being that Sony and Xbox are the only 2 major console competitors unless Nintendo has some major upgrades highly unlikely. But if they did (that being a big BUT) they would probably go multi-plat. Make more money that way.
Well, the speculations I’ve seen is that Xbox would move to be more of a PC kind of like the Steam box, or whatever it’s called, but cheap like a console. It’d still however mean they’d leave the console market.
As for games though, I doubt they’d drop exclusives. Probably just make them for Win10 instead seeing as they’re not bound to a specific console anymore.

I got the impression that when the last CEO died, Nintendo will do some major changes to their console strategies. His strategy was that everyone should be able to afford one, and in the end they ended up with strange and weak consoles. Chances are that they’ll now have the ability to do something that can challenge even the PS4 in terms of raw power.
Nintendo is already working on a new console (the ‘NX’).
Phil Spencer himself stated that there will be another Xbox console after this one.
They will probably call it the Xbox Two
the xbox will still be around for awhile maybe another 20 years.
