What if they changed Promethean Vision...

…To something more teamplay orientated?

Instead of something that allows you to see all hostiles through the walls at will, what about an Armour Ability that “tags” enemies when you hover your reticule over them while in Promethean Vision (if and only when you can see them directly, with no obstacles in the way). When tagged, the tagged players have a about half of a minute before their “tag” is removed - During the time that they are tagged however, their position is telegraphed via a red outline much like the current form of Promethean Vision, to your team (much like Halo: Reach did with notifying invisible enemy players with a red downwards-facing traingle above their heads) - But only if you or a teammate has tagged a particular enemy player via direct sight.

This effectively removes the “i r walhax!1!11one” shenanigans that the current version of Promethean Vision has, while also allows someone on a team to relay the positions of hostiles more effectively. Finally, an effective ability that randoms can use to make rudimentary communication!

Thoughts? Flame? I’d like to see what you think of my idea. Possibly even get the current form of PV changed into what I suggested because from what I’ve seen it looks OP as hell.

Teamwork-oriented abilities like that almost never work out.

They exist in Battlefield (3D spotting) and CoD (Recon Drone) and NOBODY uses them, even though you can get some decent points out of them.

Just to clear things up you’d be able to use it individually while on the go, so you could tag a hostile Spartan, tag two, or tag them all, keep track of them in a free for all slayer game, but it would be limited to that time limit that I mentioned earlier.

So, no, it wouldn’t be completely useless - It’s just an alternate take on something that’s quite OP at it’s current form.
