what if the protagonist was a woman?

would you have preferred that the protagonist was a woman?

What would it change?
Chiefs voice actor,beside that nothing.

Wouldn’t matter

A woman named Jon really… I suggest getting your helmet readjusted Spartan.

When given the choice to pick a female protagonist I choose a female character and like others said it wouldn’t change anything.

I don’t prefer it either way. As long as the protagonist is an interesting well developed likable character it’s fine by me.

Nothing would change. I certainly wouldn’t mind. As long as she’s a well written character. And most of all, she better not be a mary sue! The day halo tries to prove a political message is the day halo dies.

Er… does it matter? I don’t really care as long as “female” isn’t their defining trait.

The protagonist of a Halo game can be anything, as long as it is true to the lore and makes sense.

Someone like Kelly or Linda could be a protagonist, and I’d have no problem with it. Their existence is a natural part of the universe, and they’re certainly awesome enough to carry their own games if the developers/writers decided to go that direction.

If a new female character who we’re told is just as good as Master Chief were introduced, and we’re supposed to care because it’s a woman, that we don’t want or need, because it would be shoe-horning in a sociopolitical ideology that undermines itself by the very method it is using to force change.
