Disclaimer: This is unlikely theory that I have about the Warzone Sangheilos map in the WZFF update. None of this is confirmed.Ok so I thought it was weird that the UNSC would simulate Sanghelios to train their forces to be able to fight there. The last time we saw Sanghelios was when the Halo 5 crew was seemly hiding out there after the events on Genesis. Also I thought it was somewhat strange that the SoS was able to destroy all the Covies in one fell swoop. There has to be more Covies stationed in other locations on Sanghelios or on other planets. Also realized that not all the Spartans could be on the Infinity at the time of Cortana’s takeover. So I think that after being chased by Cortana for awhile, the Infinity got a transmission from the Halo 5 crew to come to Sanghelios. So the Infinity goes to Sanghelios and sets up bases and defenses on the planet. Cortana finally thinks she has won and can just destroy the UNSC and SoS with her Guardians. But then she learns that Chief is on the planet, so doesn’t want to risk killing him in the process of destroying the planet. So she send Covies and Spartans loyal to her to attack the UNSC and SoS. So there are three big holes in this theory. The first one is that there are no SoS forces helping you. But who’s to say that all Cortana’s forces are attacking the same area? The SoS are probably defending a different location. The second one is that there is no blood. There wasn’t any in the campaign though so this isn’t really a good argument. The third one is that the Covies are also fighting the other spartans. But maybe the only version of this map that is real is the firefight one, and the normal one is just a simulation to prepare the Spartans for the attack.

Also, Infinity isn’t in Sanghelios’s space anymore. Its last known location was Earth, however I’m sure Captain Lasky was wise and lucky enough to escape the Cortana’s Guardians… And we are currently pretty much stranded on Sanghelios, trying to regroup. Cortana has no idea we are all here.
Situation on Sanghelios was very complicated and there were no Spartan Fireteams deployed.

If you weren’t annoying enough. I thought Commanders needed to be smart because its pretty hard to destroy their core when triple capped and losing 900 to 200.
