What if the item shop isn't just a money grab

For all the criticism and accusations against 343’s angle on Halo Infinite’s item shop, I can’t help but point out how BORING it is. If the master formula for “raking in the dough” is three longterm weekly bundles and one rotating item - whoever is heading that department should find a new line of work…

on the contrary,

Since the layout of the shop is so boring, stale, and repetitive maybe their intentions really were for casual purchases once a year or so? How many times have we seen the card in the helmet, the red weapon skins, the citrus hog? Good lord. BORING. I’ve yet to see one person rocking the card in the helmet yet they try to force feed it to us at lease once a week.

So if the shop isn’t for the money, why is it so uninspired? I don’t want to call it lazy, but is it? Is there a lack of creativity within the studio? Truly, what’s the answer? It’s concerning.

Before Infinite launched, I was watering at the mouth for new content and customization. Now here we are 43 days after launch and I honestly feel like I’m poking roadkill with a stick waiting for it to get up and do a trick.
