What if they stole the plans or something like that, it would make a very interesting gameplay aspect and also story (undercover missions) what do you guys think?
They tried but it never worked out. They used drugs to enhance themselves so that they could fight Spartans but it often caused insanity followed by death.

They used different drugs, not Spartan drugs.
The hypothetical scenario is if they got their hands on the methods that the UNSC uses to create Spartans. Not any random attempt at enhancing their soldiers.
And with the new Spartan 4 technology being applicable to adults and apparently not requiring a strict genetic profile…
Well, the insurrection could take advantage of it and those with more resources might even be able to create their own armor if they got their hands on it.
So yes, it would be very interesting to see them get their hands on proper Spartan technology and the results of such an occurrence would be… delightfully complicated.

I think it would be awesome in halo 5/6 if they used a “Chief those aren’t Spartans” moment. /nerdgasm.

I can imagine Cortana saying that! Perfect line for her
I was just thinking about this earlier today!
I think it would be a cool twist to see that in game. I’m a little iffy about fighting human enemies in a Halo game, but it would be pretty sweet to see the Insurrection play a role in the main series, or even an offshoot game.

Yeah, maybe in spartan ops who knows?
Staffan Sentzke vs. Naomi Sentzke anyone?
Unless they possess highly-maneuverable heavy armor or powered suits (such as MJOLNIR), the strategic effect of augmented ranks in the rebel armies on colonial forces would be negligible. Any sighting and confirmation that supersoldiers exist and support anti-government causes would trigger overwhelming security measures to be put in place and would include mass deployments of Spartans and “conventional” special operations forces to counter them.
The best option for any rebel faction would be to use augmented soldiers quite sparingly and never in such numbers that proved the Spartans successful. Even a squad of them would compromise them instantly and null their abilities.
Or if actual UNSC bred Spartans defected to the Innie cause…
If MB could be turned by a Gravemind, anything is possible.
> Or if actual UNSC bred Spartans defected to the Innie cause.
That is more likely than rebel organizations gaining the technology to successfully augment soldiers. The only concern for that plot device is that Naval Intelligence would screen a candidates activities from the womb to what they did in the shower this morning. Remember that these men and women are the best people Army and Naval Special Warfare can muster, who fought the Covenant and Insurrectionist forces with equal fervor during the Great War.

Could possibly capture and brainwash Spartans?
> Could possibly capture and brainwash Spartans?
Special Operations training for trainees today includes enduring interrogation and torture by their captors. Its not unreasonable to think that a Spartan could be brainwashed against their will, but technologies beyond our comprehension could be used by Naval Intelligence to determine if they’ve been compromised. Needless to say, these possible eventualities for Spartans in a post-war galaxy filled with rogue elements is very exciting.
