I mean, he was Halo’s lead writer back at Bungie, and decided to stay at Bungie to work on Destiny. Apparently stuff went down and they butchered and Frankensteined his story and he left.
What if he retook the helm and continued to pen future Halo games/stories?
Well he’s already written a new Halo novel, so anything is possible
you know, I absolutely love Staten’s work and I would venture to bet that had design decisions late in Destiny’s dev cycle not reduced his story to bare bones, he would have another resounding story to unfold. All of that said, especially considering expanded universe, I really appreciate the work that Brian Reed and team have been crafting since taking over the writing. I guess what I am saying is that it would be phenomenal if Staten joined the team, I would just hope they could both work together rather than a replacement.

Absolutely. I meant it as more of joining the team
I’d like to see him make a return, too. Same goes for Marty and Salvatori for the music.
