What if Jorge survived ?

Technically the part of space that was within the radius of the slipspace engine was merely teleported to a random destination . What if Jorge actually ended up somewhere and returns in Halo 4?

No. Dude exploded. Into a million pieces. Truth hurts!

He took his Helmet off, if it did happen to survive, he’d be floating in space without a helmet.

343i confirmed that Jorge died in The Essential Visual Guide.

Can we finally move on people?

Oh my god!!! LET IT GO!!

I know its hard but we have to move on… He would have wanted it that way :frowning:

He’s dead. He even discarded his helmet to ensure it.

> What if Jorge survived?

Only he didn’t.

Sgt Johnson survived after he copped that last feel on that Elite in the first Halo. Remember?

Ignoring the joke, it’s been explained how Johnson survived in pretty big detail.

The Legendary Ending for Halo: CE is often considered non-canonical, or in many cases, it is assumed Sgt. Johnson has multiple clones of himself, which replace any dead Johnson’s.

Obviously if the latter were true, Halo 3’s Johnson would’ve been the last, which would be highly unlikely considering the “Multiple Clone” concept.

Well…he’s been confirmed dead.

Just like SGT. JOHNSON (Wink wink say no more wink wink)

He fought his way out of the Flood containment facility, met up with a group of the Autumn’s survivors, ditched Halo in a Pelican, met up with Chief and his Longsword and captured a Covenant flagship.

What is this? Clones?

The explanation is simple. Johnson wasn’t even meant to be a main character during CE, so they killed him as part of a joke ending for legendary. It’s not canon.

What joke smarts? He did. Or did you not see him lower his arm?

Yes, I am aware of the Legendary Ending and Johnson and the Elite getting intimate, I thought you were using it in a joking manner as people often do.

Nope. I was just sayin".

So let’s assume he did survive the initial slipspace entry…
This is what would have happened:

1: not wearing a helmet, he would have died during that jump
2: even if he magically survived that: he’s then stuck in unknown space
3: he still hadn’t had his helmet on: so he’d died.
4: even if he had put his helmet back on: he’d run out of air: and died.

Outcome of all options logically is death.
And Bungie decided he was dead.
So he didn’t survive.

Jorge is MIA.
There is no proof he died or survived.

But Corvet probably remained intact after the slipspace bomb fired.
So he could survived but it is still unknown.

Like ESK x Noble said , the Corvette likely entered slipspace intact as it was completely inside the Slipspace bubble the drive produced . That said , it is completely possible that he ended up somewhere where he would eventually be found again (maybe even Requiem which is technically unknown space too) with the Corvette’s systems (including the life support) still intact while the depressurizing mid-section of the Long Night of Solace drifts beside his ship .
