What if its all a lie, no classic art style, ect..

What if this whole hype of Halo Infinite theories and stuff are a lie? What if it was like, another false advertisement? What if there was no classic art style returning and all that stuff? I bet there isn’t. This is just my speculation and theory.

I play any Halo no matter the change. That is meaning ill play Halo 6 no matter what too. But what if all this hype around Halo is false and there is no classic art style? I mean really. The ONLY teaser we have is the first Halo Infinite trailer with all the animals and stuff. But Nothing confirming that there is no classic art style. 343i made that trailer to announce Halo 6, its official name, and their new engine. They did not confirm a new animation or art style.

Remember this is the first sighting of Halo 6. So naturally the games likely about a a year or two away. Meaning that animation, likely the art style, is not perfected. I bet this is just an early animation of the game. How sharp it already looks is probably why they showed their new engine. Like the battle rifle, it is the Halo 4-5 design. Smaller and easier to do. But people themselves are harder and bigger. The look in the video now is just a rough design. Its why everything must be so bright and smooth even MC’s helmet.

Altogether, I think this is a lie. When Halo 6 comes, its going to be the same design. No new art style. it isn’t confirmed. and the trailer is just early development. And still a long way from release.

With 343s history regarding advertising I think you have hit the nail perfectly on the head. And the worst part is a huge part of this community will still buy the game then turn to the forums and complain. The only way to tell 343 what we really want is to send the message with our pocket books. I refuse to buy this halo u until the reports come in. Thats saying something because it is hands down my favorite franchise and I’ve owned every game since ce came out on pc.

Then I’d probably quit on the current Halos then just go back to Bungie’s

I think 343i learned not to make misleading ads like the ones for Halo 5. Highly doubtful the art style will be different than the one seen in the trailer since graphics are the first thing everyone sees. They aren’t going to do a complete 180 after showing that trailer. Additionally, the style for Infinite seems like an evolution of what was seen in Wars 2.

I guess time will tell.

I do know that they have Sparth heading up the art department now, so the design will definitely change.

That’s why I’m not even picking up the game until I read reviews. That’s what i dont get about fans these days. They have admitted that they intend to keep buying these games even of they are always bad, just because it’s called Halo. Do you not realize that is why 343i makes crap games.

They dont care about you. They care about the bottom line. As long as you give them money, they can make a game that is five minutes long about a monkey jumping on a ball and call it Halo. It could get a 3/10 on reviews and you all would still buy it just because it’s called Halo.

2 words: Company. Restructuring. Gotta weed out the bad apples who don’t care about anything but money.

Yes. My thoughts exactly. We as a community are a much to blame for blindly purchasing the games as 343I is for making them.

Except 343i already confirmed the tech demo for the new Slipspace engine is what Hi is more or less going to look like art wise. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, seriously. I’ve no idea were this is coming from. We’re talking about the art, that’s hard to change at this stage of development. It’s not like the story the marketing team at MS just can cut and throw outside of the window! What we saw art-wise is what we get mate!

The cut-scene itself is another story and most probably will not be part of the end-product. It was meant to showcase different aspects of the graphic engine and hype us for the come-back of the original Mark VI armor and nothing more. So yes, of course changes will be there, nothing is finished after all… But don’t expect to see the H4/5 clean art style again with its overloaded textures breaking all visual lines, because that is an art direction the wast majority of the fans criticized them for! The new art team now is aiming for similar visuals we already got in HW2, just with even more monolithic pieces cutting trough even more natural environments, at least based on the preview. If that’s not the case than yes, it was false advertisement, but that’s not what’s going to happen. So let’s calm our Sangheili -Yoink- guys and girls. Everything is fine, everything is awesome so far!

What you see in the engine demo trailer has been confirmed by 343i to be their new art style.

I wouldn’t be surprised tbh, I have no hype for infinite.

It’s pretty interesting how so many people claim that they’ll blindly follow something regardless of the fact. Anyway, the devs have already confirmed that both art styles (the proper one and the bad one) will be returning. So that’s that.

There’s more reason to believe the new art style is here to stay than to not believe. First off, the new art director has clearly made an impact on how Infinite looks. The trailer is very reminiscent of his style. It’s unlikely that they’ve used him simply for the reveal and not for the actual game. 5’s misleading advertising was regarding the story, which probably endured many rewrites. Art’s difficult to change in development as it means redoing textures, lighting, etc… You are right to assume that since the game is still deep in development that changes can and probably will be made, but to assume that the artstyle will just reverse throughout development is not logical.

343 already confirmed this is the new art style, you can take off your tinfoil hat.

Maybe but I would think the best solution for now is to wait on the Halo Infinite Flight tests since that maybe the best play to check out the game-play then later decide if the game is worth buying at launch since the tests generally have a rough feeling about how the final game would play like.

I will not be buying until well after release. I will be waiting to see how intrusive the microtransactions/loot boxes are, how the progression and unlocks work, whether the campaign is worth while, and if there’s actually a decent amount of multiplayer maps and modes instead of it bei g withheld as “free dlc”. In other words 343 needs to redeem themselves or ill wait a few months and buy a cheap USED copy.

If this was any other games series I’d probably do the same but my concern is spoilers since I usually like to get the game as soon as possible, complete on legendary before any chance of someone spoiling it for me.

I’m pretty sure they made a blog post on Wayppint where they outright said that the engine demo ‘showcased their new art style’ that ‘pays tribute to classic elements of Halo history’ or something along those lines. I understand why some people don’t trust 343, but I doubt they’d spontaneously just decide to switch to the 4/5 art style halfway through development.

I hear u, but that’s the exact reason 343 can turn out half yoinked games. They will still see the majority of those expected sales regardless just because they r selling a name. So why strive for better when the community will pay anyway.

Then ill continue to play MCC
