What if Humanity had joined the Covenant? SPOILERS

!!This will contain many SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
The Human-Covenant war started at a backwoods farm planet know as Harvest. Harvest was also the first time that we get to see into the minds of the Covenant other that the games of course. Sgt. Johnson is also one of the main Characters in Contact Harvest. A good read if you never read it, especially the end. lol. He knows what the ladies like.
Anyways to stay on topic, in the book,(Contact Harvest), we also meet a Grunt who was made into a religious type of being for saving an Elites life. The grunt is well opened minded and when the first contact was made with the Humans, he questions his Huragok friend why the humans should not be given the chance as the other species of the Covenant to join their holy mission instead of fighting with them. To which the Huragok has no reply.
There are more adventures, action, and other things in the book that I won’t mention but I still recommend it for reading. I only mentioned that part because it brings up an interesting thought: What if HUMANITY had joined the Covenant?
Obviously, there would have been a lot less blood shed and the lives lost would’ve been spared. But what about the consequences? Would it be just like a nother Mass Effect game/ Universe?

What’s your thoughts?

It would probably end in one of two ways:

  • The Covenant manage to activate the Halo rings with humanity’s compliance, ending all life in the galaxy. - The Great Schism occurs following the discovery of a Halo ring and its corresponding monitor. Covenant begins to fall apart, leaving the galaxy in a state similar to the actual post-War era.

Seems pretty accurate and plausible to me
