Crazy thought I had this morning. Since the new consoles are launching on Nov 10th, which was also the original release date for Infinite.
Essentially they could release Multiplayer which is free to play and the campaign would drop later in 2021. Now, a part of me says this would be cool, but a bigger part says nah fam. We are not ready for Infinite yet.
We don’t need it to release on November 10th mainly because there is too much negativity going on right now with the game, ie skins and Chris Lee leaving. We’ve experienced these kinds of games that released poorly finished before, Fallout 76, Battlefield 5, etc.
There’s just too much at stake to release this game early. We want to get our hands on a finished product that can deliver and blow everyone’s expectations out of the water. We just need hope for that.
343 is listening to the community when it made the decision to delay the game to 2021 upon backlash of the gameplay demo, they just need to keep their ears open more and really listen to us, especially when it comes to colors.
Also, let’s be decent and not send death threats to the devscause that’s not going to accomplish anything. Plus, we are also going through a global pandemic too, so there are going to be delays and we are going to need to push for them to use their time wisely.
I’m not sure how I would feel at this point. I do want to see gameplay or something on Nov.10 tho. If they drop multiplayer early, I’m more inclined to be upset about it. The game should ship complete if possible.
I don’t see them releasing it unless something between now and then was shown. They would try to build the hype around it before a release…not too much hype around it nowadays.

Plus I wasn’t one of the people to pre-order the new console. I’d like to hold off and get the Exclusive Halo console if they offer one LOL.

Basically this, I’d prefer it launching complete rather than in pieces. Wouldn’t mind a beta or flight news dropping on Nov. 10th though.

Why ? The game will be separate anyway. If the multiplayer is free to play I don’t see it being part of the retail disc or digital campaign purchase, it’ll probably be a separate digital download. If the multiplayer is ready they should release it imo. In saying that, I doubt we’ll see it on November 10th, but you never know.

I have a few reasons as to why I think it should ship together.
Every Halo release up until Halo 5(to my knowledge)was a complete, full package deal. There was no waiting on(insert important piece of a Halo game here).
It wouldn’t help this games negative press if they shipped it separate. Halo Infinite doesn’t need anymore bad press right now.
It would hurt the fan base and cause more stirring up among us. We don’t need any of that either.
If the game is practically ready, like an insider siggests, then I don’t see a need to separate the game.
I, along with others I’m sure, would just rather experience the game as a complete package. I don’t want to have just one mode either. I want the full halo experience with this game. I’m not sure what kind of bugs and such would arise as a result of the incomplete game shipping. I’m no expert and I’m not about to claim to be one. I think someone might provide better reasons than me on this. Also my world won’t stop turning if they release it early. I just see problems arising from that decision.

I understand your points. However, this is the first Halo to have free to play multiplayer. It’s not a regular campaign and multiplyer release. They will be their own separate entities from what I can see, and I believe they will be independent of each other.
They cannot say multiplayer is free for everyone and lock it to the paid campaign. I get you want them available same day, I personally don’t see the need as the multiplayer is free. Can’t comment about the insider bit, I’ve seen nothing about that, I doubt it’s practically ready going by recent announcements, but you never know.
I would have to disagree. It sounds like this game is in pretty bad development hell at the moment, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t have a ton to show right now for multiplayer. I think they should do a beta in the spring/summer, get a ton of feedback then hit us with the full release next fall with a robust multiplayer experience.
I’d say no, if 343i choose to release it in 2020 that will have mean it’s been rushed and people would have every right to be annoyed at 343i since there has been no beta yet. 343i need to take their time, release the beta first sometime in 2020/2021. I don’t want a rushed multiplayer where the games lacks a campaign and a majority of the game is oddly missing, it’s bad enough that there forcing this 10 year plan thing. I don’t want another Halo 5 launch disaster where it lacks any content at launch.

And I completely understand your points. Check out Sean W’s YT channel for the info on the insider. This insider also predicted some other things and he seems to have credibility. He basically said the game is content complete.
I would be pretty surprised if all of MP dropped without any sort if notice, but I guess that’s what Apex basically did right? So I guess the possibility is there.
I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if we get a stealth launch of a MP beta at literally anytime though!

Considering everything 343 has said about trying to get back to the roots of Halo, splitting from tradition in such a radical way would be horrendously bad PR. They’ve already made themselves look like they’re just flat out lying to us, so stirring the pot even more is a recipe for disaster.
There’s talks of some Multiplayer gameplay with a updated campaign demo in November. Don’t know if it’s true or not, but any news would be great at that point.
