An article from GamesRadar (Halo Infinite gameplay is going to be at E3 2019, looks like it's going to be a "next gen game" | GamesRadar+) says that Halo: Infinite is going to be a “next-gen game”.
Note that it doesn’t say whether it’s going to be a next-gen exclusive (i.e. it won’t release for Xbox One), but I’m wondering if that might be the case. For Microsoft, there really wouldn’t be a better way to launch a new console than to include a highly-anticipated Halo game as a launch title.
Personally, I would be fine with this, as long as there are good games for me to play on Xbox One while I wait for the next console and Halo: Infinite to come out. Plus, that would ensure that we’re getting the bast Halo experience possible, one uninhibited by the need to be backward-compatible with older hardware (looking at you, first-gen Xbox One). However, I can’t help but think that some fans may feel cheated that they are essentially being forced to buy another Xbox in order to play Halo: Infinite on console (after all, we still know it’s coming out on PC).
How would you feel if the console version of Halo: Infinite was announced as a next-gen exclusive title?

It’s already confirmed to be on current gen
Halo Infinite is confirmed to be coming to the Xbox One family of consoles, as well as Windows 10. That’s all that is known. Anything about its availability for the rumored next generation Xbox is speculation. This topic is moot.

Then I would not be playing it.Mcc was the last time I buy a new console to play another halo game
As said, it’s already been stated to be on the Xbox One consoles. It’ll just play and look better on the X than on the S or original.
It won’t, and thank god for that.
But mcc will boost the PC halo player count, so it would make sense to make the next halo game on Windows 10
Yeah, first of all what is the Next Gen consoles, the Play station 5?
Next Gen hasn’t been technically announced yet only teased. They are too early in development of the hardware and even firmware to have any sort of game be developed for those machines at that time. But when they do come out, I hope Microsoft and Sony learned the mistakes from this Generation and make their consoles backwards compatible instead of trying to sell us the last gen catalogue in the form of remasters.

Laughs in money as nice as this would be remasters still sell enough that Shadow of the Colossus remake 3 will launch for PS5 with rave reviews and millions of sales.
Yes, the game is coming for Xbox One and PC, it’s already been confirmed. However, with the next-gen consoles right around the corner coming next year, I won’t be shocked at all if Infinite will come to the next-gen Xbox. In fact, I won’t be shocked if Infinite is being made with next-gen tech, but will also be available on Xbox One. Pretty exciting that the next Xbox is coming soon.

Well, that was the reason why I didn’t get the XB1 or the MCC when it first came out, and from what I heard I dodged a bullet or two on those. I can understand remasters from 2 generations but last gen is a rip off. And while the Big Execs might be laughing in money, face it Xbox is not rolling in the dough that it once enjoyed, mmm-hmmm. That’s right Microsoft/343 I didn’t buy your $#!7, I bought your games and good console back in the day, but boy did MS shoot themselves in the foot, both feet, knees and legs and groin with their Xbox one marketing push. Convinced me and a whole lot of others to not buy their system.
Xbox x is my last ever console, next purchase is a gaming pc as everything is moving towards this as the future of gaming and they have confirmed it will be a windows 10 title
They already confirmed it’s coming to XB1, so if it is coming to next gen it wouldn’t be exclusive but cross gen. That’s the only reason I think feeling cheated would be justified because they already announced it for XB1. If they hadn’t done that already there would be no reason to feel that, that’s just how consoles work and if you don’t like that, get a PC… even though you kinda run into the same problem anyway, it’s just more of a blurred line. Now if they actually did skip the XB1 after already announcing it for that platform, they better have a damn good reason like what they want to do to make the game amazing literally isn’t possible on XB1 and it would just hold the game back in a very big way, people would be pissed regardless though. I would personally be fine with it.
Then I would have bought my XB1 for naught, and will be selling.
But luckily the current message is, is that Infinite will be playable on my/your Xbox One.
I would prefer it will specifically be next gen, but its confirmed already that it will not be. I just wish we did not have to wait so long for the next gen of consoles.

They are very much farther than that. Not this year, but almost definitely next year. The amount of talk from Sony and Microsoft as well as developers already mentioning their work on them shows this.
