So this is merely speculation with nothing really to go on, but wouldn’t it be interesting if Gray Team was reintroduced in Halo Wars 2? I have been personally hoping / speculating that the legendary Spartan II team could appear in Shadow of Intent or something, but seeing as Jai appeared in a H2A terminal, getting a canon visual appearance, I am thinking that Halo Wars 2 would be a great place to reintroduce Adriana and the gang.
It would be a good time after teasing them in the terminal, assuming the game takes place post 2551.
What do you guys think? Wanna see them in the game, or no?
As the biggest Gray Team fan here, I would definitely approve of this. It’d be interesting if they were the ones to respond to the SoF’s distress signal or something.
SoF running into Grey Team? That’d be a huge coincidence in most cases but I love it! Perhaps this new Brute Chieftain would be Grey Team’s target. Taking out some high profile Covenant targets would be a perfect job for Grey Team after all.
Just as long as they stay alive, I am 100% okay on this.
Both of the actually MIA/missing Spartan II teams running into each other? Ok sure. I’m all for seeing Grey Team. But I think that it should be indirect, as in their mission wasn’t to find Spirit Of Fire. There’s speculation that the reason a Brute was in the trailer was because the SoF was in Brute space as seen in one of the Escalations comic (that one ship Thorne and Fireteam Majestic raided). So it could be Grey Team was sent to infiltrate Brute supply routes and disrupt trade but they end up finding Spirit Of Fire.

There’s also Naomi, and according to the Universe encyclopedia, several Spartans who were thought dead or MIA have appeared back on the grid.

Really? I guess I have to go back and look again. A few years back I had gone through all the books and made an actual list of who was dead and who wasnt.
I damn hope so, Grey team (along with Blue team) is by far my favorite group of Spartan-IIs.
So long as they don’t show up and get off screened to hype the villain I’m cool with this.
It be a cool idea for them to be the team to find the sof by accident.

As far as we know Maria is still alive, but I’d say she’s well and truly inactive at this point.

No, just because we got a great book that gave Gray Team personality and characteristics, while you didn’t see Red Team except for a couple of action scenes in the cinematic in the first Halo Wars. I want the focus to be on Red Team and develop more of them as characters. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see them a lot later, I would love to get something on them soon

Well, the Prometheans aren’t really like Prometheus in any way. If anything, you’d think the title of “Promethean” would be given to the Librarian because she wanted humans to inherit the technology of the “gods”, or Forerunners.

Lock and Buck are great and I also respect them as new Spartans (also im a big Fan of Buck). Because of their background Story and also their connections to some Spartans II they now what it means to be a Spartan. They take their job serious.( If you want a new generation of Spartans, they should be more like them)
But the most of them are jerks like in Spartans Ops or Sarah Palmer, they don`t respect the legacy. To become/to be a Spartan is nothing special anymore.
They are just like some drunk teenagers with to much money and power ^^
