Depression.
Ehh, I wouldn’t be very optimistic. The only good things would be maybe a Battlefield style Halo gametype, the graphics that they use aside from all the sun glare and a social system that really feels like social although I do think the stats system would need improvement.
Hell no, I prefer the REQ system over whatever EA would have in store! (literally) If they have a P2W lootbox system, DLC, and in-game currency an F2P mobile app would have, we just might see the greatest player exodus of all time!

Pretty much this. I would just be very cautiously optimistic, in order to not be too let down with said project if it started turning into a dumpster fire.

Yeah just look at the track record of the mass effect series.
Ugh.
I just recently got Battlefront 2. It’s even worse than Battlefront 1! The only thing I like about it is the campaign (which is pretty good) but all of the multiplayer levels are crowded and confusing, and everyone dies so easily, and it seems like the levels are designed to get everyone stuck in certain hallways or rooms. And half the classes are kind of useless.
And we can’t even customize our characters!! Battlefront 1 was so much better! We could choose our genders, the way we looked, the kind of hairstyles we wanted! I mean, eventually it got patched so every Stormtrooper had their helmet on (which kind of sucked, but makes sense). And I get that we’re kind of stuck with one type of person if we play as droids or clones. But come on! We can’t customize Imperials or Rebels?
And don’t get me started on Star Cards.
I guess I also like the spaceship levels, and playing as Rey. (o_O ) But that’s it.
I like Leia, Phasma and Finn too.

Another franchise will get rebooted.
To me it would depend on who EA then puts on developing it. Would it be a brand new studio? Or would it be an already established one?
im very open to anyone different taking the Halo IP just to see what happens. Furthermore I enjoy EA games most of the time.
Halo would probably fail worse then BF2 and I would be sad to never buy another Halo game again if it’s from EA.
It will be THE end of halo. EAmpire will probably find a way to make people pay more than they should.
Due to EA announcing that they are done with single player content I would have to say good bye to the halo franchise.
Well that has all the trappings for the end of Halo as an engaging story and lore. Just like mass effect it will be turned to a cash cow, milked, used and abused and then put down in an ungrateful manner when they have had their full.

I rather have a company that dedicates itself into expanding the lore of an amazing series, while producing games that aren’t dependent on Microtransactions than a company that would milk the games of an amazing series with gameplay ultra-dependent on Microtransactions.
Not to mention what I said in my comment, but that’s just how I see EA lolz
