What if Chief had a Child

So, my mind wanders every now and again. And I started thinking…the whole I’m humanities savior thing would get kinda old. So what does Chief have to really fight for? Personally that would be a great sacrifice? I hate the whole Cortana love story and I can’t see Chief “falling in love” either. I know too many combat vets that there is no way he would be able to be successful at it or really understand it without lots of therapy to get over the traumas he has suffered. That being said this is what I found to be kinda cool.

What if he had a kid? Like not that he slept with someone but that ONI created a child…not a clone. So my thoughts are this. Since Chief is “broken” as they like to say, a scientist would improve by adding new DNA (so now no longer a clone but an actual child). Not only that but ONI could manipulate the genetics too and make the child superior. To some extent this stuff can be done now (boy or girl, certain genetic factors can be altered… aka “designer babies”).

Chief is human afterall, would be cool to see the shock plus would really give him something he loves that he would defend and fight for on a primal level. Plus, it would enable the story to be carried on into future generations. I mean Fred, Kelly, and even Locke are older so they can’t last forever. Not to mention would love to see Chief go all psycho on ONI. And I think it would also bring in an interesting story plot too. The Spartans accept that they were all taken and serve a greater purpose but none of them can relate to what it may have been like for their parents. No parent wants to see the death of their child. But the clones died and parents suffered. Would give Chief a different perspective on the whole Spartan program. Would be cool for him to totally call Halsey out on her crap too.

Sorry if you think its stupid, was just a thought. I think Chief needs a more personal reason to keep fighting. I mean an epic reason to die and I cant see him just choosing a general humanity. Plus it would be awesome to make him more human. Also, Arbitor has a family so would be kinda cool for him to have an up on the Chief.

I just really cant see him being in love with a grown up, even Cortana. It needs to be deeper.

Idk. I think if Cortana were made flesh, they’d definitely hook up. Maybe Kelly. LOL either way, I can’t see him gently holding an infant and singing “Rock-a-bye-baby”. I’d leave the breeding to the SIVs. SIIs don’t seem to be interested in that stuff–only the next mission. Chief can always donate his genetic material though…

Oh would totally want him to die in combat. I cant see the character retiring. But think it would more compelling if he died fighting for a kid that’s his. Cortana in the flesh still doesnt do it for me. Hell, even in Chris Kyle’s book he listed his kids before his wife.

Would he even be capable of fathering a child after all the genetic alteration done to him?

i would imagine so, nothing in their augmentations actually prevent them from having kids. just suppress the nature and need to.

Isn’t it obvious? MC does have a son. He was named Chuck Norris (Didn’t you know Chief’s last name was Norris?) Chuck was going on a galactic trip when the Slipspace drive malfunctioned and sent them back into the 1980s and crash-landed on Earth, him and Jackie Chan (Fred’s son, didn’t you know his last name was Chan?) were the only survivors of the crash. The crash was investigated, and thus Area 51 was created. It all makes perfect sense
