What I mean is, a big map can only have DMR, Carbine, etc. in custom loadouts. A medium sized map can only have Battle Rifle, Light Rifle, etc. in custom loadouts. A small map can only have Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle, etc. in custom loadouts.
I was just asking because I do like the idea of custom loadouts, I do, it’s just that it doesn’t seem fair. If you are someone who really likes the Assault Rifle or whatever and you get destroyed by everyone else using a Battle Rifle from longer distance, that just seems to be missing the point of a custom loadout if you have to have the loadout everyone else is using.
I don’t this idea would be good,343 has increased the amount of weapons in The halo series because everyone felt Halo didn’t have enough weapons in the game itself.
Why have all the weapons not being used when you can at least just mix up weapons within weapon-types?
We didn’t need every SMG-type laying around in H3, nor do we need AR’s and PRi’s in Reach… But to mix them up as the chooseable option, to have more Human or Covenant or themed-race battle layouts, that’s what H3 and Reach were missing
And for H4 classic playlists, yes that’s how I’d still like similarly setup.
We can have Prome, or Human or Covenant gametypes where if using just those weapons, we have a restricted and tiered sandbox of nearly every weapon-type required to fill the basic CE-weapon roles.
We don’t need 3 rifles or 3 AR’s laying around in classic to clutter things up. But allowing themed battles, now that’s what CE and H2 gave feelings of. That is I bet is sorely and unknowingly missed.
im not a fan of the idea. some people (me) enjoy the challenge of killing people at long range with the AR. if i cant AR snipe in BTB, then i will be dissapointed. same thing goes for DMR/BR on small maps.
> I would love this!!!
> Maps as small as guardian don’t need BRs. Make the players have ARs on small maps and work for map movement with their skill.
