what if agent locke is da son of Master Chief

So the official artbox keeps me thinking that what if Master Chief has a son which is agent Locke because the artbox reflection of the two spartans and what Arbiter said in this trailer.

Can’t tell if serious…

Probably isn’t serious.

Worst idea ever - and I remember the Tornado Gun.

That wasn’t even mean.

But, honestly, i don’t know much about Halo’s lore, but even i know that John could never have a son.

As I recall from the enhancements, one of them depressed sexual drive, but didn’t (as far as I can tell) make them sterile. And in the broadest sense, whilst John may have been busy killing things his entire existence, there is no reason why ONI wouldn’t have taken both -Yoink!- and ovum from the Spartan IIs, as seed stock for future generations (you’ve already identified superlatively gifted individuals, so let’s breed them). And given that cloning technology has allowed for growing of complete humans in tanks, it should be possible to grow a baby without a host mother. For that matter, they could have used host mothers.

However, I don’t think Locke is John’s child.

do people even read through the forum, before they create a thread ?

Thank you for providing the lone intelligent reply in this thread.

I thought during the Spartan II’s augmentation process at the onset of puberty, they got a bit of a libido … “suppressant”, I guess, as well as some … “alterations” to the thyroid that … um, limited or diminished if not eliminated such, um … “needs” or “desires” so they could focus more on taking lives than creating them.

Wasn’t meant to be nasty, if anything it’s a forum reference to an old user back when Halo 4 was announced. I wonder if anyone else here knows who I’m talking about.

"All our lives are at stake" maybe hinting towards the human race needs master chief back fighting for them to win the fight they get in? Not locke needing to find his father, i doubt everyones lives wont be on the line for that.
Plus where would john find the time to do the hanky panky in between saving everyone all the time.

I remember the Tornado Gun. Interesting times…

But yeah, Spartans have suppressed -Yoink!- drives due to their augmentations. Not to mention… Chief would have no time to get together with someone and have a son. Any time spent not in combat is either in cryo or working on cleaning weapons and armor.

Why, it’s a stupid idea. If this was the best 343i could come up with to make a character interesting I would lose any faith in their ability to create a cohesive story.

Ignoring the downright lazy storytelling it’d be, it’s on the unfeasible end of possibility in the Halo universe. It’s technically possible, but since there’s no (that we know of) way to speed up growth - when exactly was this child formed? As soon as the S-II program started working? And even then, the S-II program was bad enough with its ethics, breeding children for war is on another scale of bad. I doubt Halsey would have any part in it, her attention was only on the II’s if anything.

If you want to put forward a theory then a decent amount of forethought goes a long way.

…are you serious?

mr or mrs chaos over here is freaking right.

Someone had been exposed to the IWHBYD for too long.

I’m sorry but wut?

Seeing as Spartan’s (II) have suppressed -Yoink!- drives, John probably didn’t have fornication on his mind whilst killing hoards of Covenant. Also, he probably dindn’t have any time.

im saying if i didn’t say its a good idea if there if their father and son and yes it is stupid.

Repressed -Yoink!--drives due to augmentations. Constant deployment that leaves no time for significant relationships.

I’d put the chances of Locke being a son of MC to be less than 1%.
