What if a future Halo joins Quantum Break on PC?

Just wondering what you would do if Halo went cross platform? Phil Spencer seems determined to get more games on Windows.

I would buy Halo on PC then. I prefer PC over Xbox, and the only thing keeping me on Xbox currently is Halo. I want to use mouse and keyboard, I want to play the game at true HD, not this variable resolution stuff. And I definitely want to play the game on ultra settings and see if it looks better than on console.

theres also rumors saying Gears 4 and scalebound will also hit PC.

Hell, I wouldn’t mind them porting Halo 5 to PC, my rig is twice as powerful as my Xbone so that’ll give me some nice working space for quality upgrades liek full 1080p with higher visual textures.

I’m concerned about if the PC version would be inherently easier or not. Even though I grew up on Halo PC most of the challenge came from trying to simply compensate for the game’s poor netcode, so it’s hard to determine how much of a difference there is between mouse aim, and controller aim with aim assist.

Also hopefully Microsoft would do the smart thing and try to incorporate the game into Steam, instead of being stubborn and trying to create their own platform.

I play both with controller and mouse on PC, no that much of a difference even in TF2 which doesn’t have aim assist.

And WHAT THE HELL is wrong with people and their overblown love for Steam? They want to turn the PC market into a monopoly just like everybody else, and I can’t remember the last time they did something like a good sale… and let’s not forget when they tried to make us **PAY FOR MODS.**Release it in Gog.com if you truly want a pretty damn respectful and awesome DRM(-free) platform.

I dont understand the hate for the windows store either. People keep complaining that its GFWL 2.0, but in reality its like having a gold account for free

Something we agree on.

Because it’s a great service? There’s a reason it’s practically a monopoly.
-By far the most well known and popular.
-Constant game sales, no idea what you’re talking about. One going on right now.
-Game Refunds
-Trading
-Can share games with your friends via family sharing.
-Groups for discussions and gaming.
-Ingame web browsing.
-Can be used with non-steam games.
-I could go on.

Releasing it on some hipster anti-steam platform that no one has ever heard of would be a bad idea.

Quick search, Gog doesn’t even have some of my favorite games…

if they do it they’ll release it on xbox live for PC not steam. be logical here lol

First-

It’d be bad for business. MS makes too much money selling Xboxes because of Halo

Second-
I think we’ve all had enough of that “PC Master Race” bs

I’d heard they got rid of games for windows live. Haven’t really been following it.

Also, Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike are on Steam.

It’s not BS if it’s the truth. Now more than ever with everything that set consoles apart being eliminated.

Yes, because spending thousands of dollars to keep your PC running smooth (and able to play competitively) is totally superior to where everyone is on equal footing in the virtual battlefield. I can tell you, I’m a PC gamer aside from Halo, Battlefield, and Warframe, the guy with the best PC almost always wins.

Now that is what is truly BS. Go spread your misinformation and propaganda somewhere else, decent gaming PC’s aren’t thousands of dollars, nor do you need a top of the line PC to be competitive.

I suppose you have no idea of what you’re talking about? You do understand that the only performance related things that have any effect on gameplay are frame rate and resolution, both of which can be set to reasonable values by decreasing other graphics settings? Not to mention resolution hardly makes a difference unless you’re playing at 640x480. Do you also believe that on consoles the player with the best home theater set almost always wins?

— It is the most well known because of overrated games like Half Life and Portal (YES, I JUST SAID THAT)
— Can’t remember the last time I saw an AAA game go for lower than 5 dollars there. It used to be more common.
So? Gog also issues refunds!
— Trading skin microtransactions with real people for real money. Yeah… just what the gaming community needed.
— So? Gog is DRM-FREE! You can literally make 500 copies of the game if you want to (and if your conscience allows for it).— Even uPlay has lobbies for the games.
— Even Origin has an in-game browser.
— The Xbox App on Windows 10 can also be used with ANY game and record/capture ANY PC game in the market.

This is exactly why I think that they need to reconsider sending their most legendary games to PC - because it would discourage console sales and it sucks for those of us that prefer console to PC. Also, please no cross-play, we don’t need PC hackers infiltrating the console space.
