Halo 5 was put into a day and night work cycle before launch? Like 343i go into some in-human work to make the game best it can be without any consequences…
They add:
Splitscreen - All Colors at Launch - All REQs at launch - All maps at launch - All obvious glitches fixed before launch - Better executed campaign - Halo Reach or 4 armor customization - Map voting system - Animated deaths back - All modes at launch… like… all official ones - Forge at launch - Longer campaign missions as Blue team - More developed characters for Osiris - All new modes at launch - Better placed Warden fights in campaign - All wanted REQ items before hand (Ex. Fist of Rukt) - No microtransactions - Actual shop to by armor and earn it - Making card system only for REQs in Warzone - Better rewards for completing something - Better ideas to make Warzone better (Ex. Farming, Boss fighting, more interactive terrain) - And some idea below VVVI left out the old Halo mechanics out of the list because we know it wont go back. So, what if there was a playlist called “Slayer Pro”? You have no thusters, you cant sprint, no hit marks, no kill marks, no clamber, no radar… just this mode for classic players to play if they wanted to. Im sure the maps in Halo 5 will work for it.
And so, this gives me a thought. If the list on top was taken in, and the mode I came up with (Others probably came up with it too)… how would Halo 5 be taken if it was at this rate? Im not giving out my opinion. Nor am I saying that 343i can do this… or any company can do this. Im just saying… if all of these, or at least almost any of these were implemented at launch like the important things like veto system, armor shop, or modes… could have Halo 5 turned out better? Would there still be much for people to complain? Could the ‘Slayer Pro’ playlist I came up with bring back old fans? And will you guys think Halo 5 would actually be better than Halo 2-3 if all/some of these listed were put into the game?
I actually liked H5 at launch. Sure it was missing the garnishings, but I’ve always been an Arena player, and Arena delivered solid gameplay right from the get-go.
Too bad 343i would have to go through the effort to make maps for Slayer Pro since all maps are made with Sprint/Climb in mind. Would be nice to go back to a more classic game mode in Halo 5.
If all those things were in Halo 5 on launch I’d argue it would’ve been one of the top 3 Halo games. But unfortunately they weren’t, and the damage has already been done, the addition of these things will not change much.
Seriously I have to know. Whats wrong with clamber?! I understand all the other points, and “abilities” but whats wrong with clamber. I think its the solely greatest addition yet. Its silently added quite a bit to the game as far as map movement, gameplay, and general flow; more unique maps. Also can not forget seat swapping, also one of the best and unique features in any game. I just want to know why people say this.
As far as the post myself and others have stated the things we like, or I guess would have liked. Making games is very difficult especially new console system. We hope the best for Halo 6. These will be great things to be added as time goes on.
Think I lost my point.
Dude, trust me. Game-devs go into crunch hours all the time with play-testers working 24/7 (two shifts obviously)
The ‘go gold’ is given on a zero-bug build. So devs have to iron out all of the known issues before that deadline and certification.
What I’m saying is, its not like 343i work from 9 to 5 all the time.

I think it is because it was replaced with crouch jumping and how crouch jumping is almost forgottem. Everyone is counting on clambering now. And I said to take that out because not that its good, but it isnt “Pro” as crouch jumping.

Every place on each map is reachable mostly by crouch jumping. It just high enough for clambering.
Well then I would hate them
as for the rest of them I would be impressed with the game if that was all at launch granted it would be probably released at least a year later, but then given a month or so I’d get bored with the game as no “new” content would be produced to keep me coming back
to be honest i like the direction they are taking would just like to see the armor armory built like reach where things are bought with req points and everything was customization.

Sadly Im not satisfied with this response. That doesnt really sound like ‘pro’ to ‘easy’ as much as old to new. Crouch jumping always fumbled and feels overly outdated. Clambering is great mechanically, map diversity since you cant catch a ledge while falling crouching, and visually appealing. Besides it just makes sense, you dont crouch in life to get higher you pull yourself up.
In all honesty if we were to talk about classic halo missed features, grenade jumping.

> No split screen biggest disappointment
For everyone, honestly out of everything people complain about, this definitely has the most weight and validity. Especially when talking about the loss of community.
**Split screen is Halo.**Above all else.
