Hear me out, im not saying that halo infinite should have a Battle royale, but what if 343 made a SEPERATE game that is a battle royale? What if it also used the halo universe? Picture this game, the player character is not a spartan but perhaps an odst, and they orbit drop on to the map, theres armor plates, maybe some vehicles like a banshee and warthog. it would be like a traditional battle royale but halo themed. And might i recommend it doesn’t have to be cannon/lore correct to just be fun.

Then they would have to divide resources, artists and programmers for a battle royal map and raise the player cap. As it stand arena and big team battle maps are not compatible. So now were talking about 3 modes that isolate maps and spread the content thin across each individual mode.
Sounds exactly like something 343 will jump into unfortunately

I mean, when you put it that way it does sound cool, but I don’t know. There’s already a lot of BRs and I don’t think Halo should jump on that band wagon

ha, nope. That’s just not what halo is built around. Scale is certainly part of halo’s DNA but its not gonna match the ranged massacre that people desire out of a BR.
Weather u care about Halo 5 or not, Warzone was a cool idea for Halo at a time when BR’s as a MODE were in their infancy before it blew up as a business model.
If anything resembling a larger scale battle ground in the world of halo is to come i hope it takes the form of a more hybridized BTB/ warzone horde type. And to be even more blunt…Spartan (HALO) Wars. or like PlanetSide2 idk

A battle royale would work very well in the Halo universe. There are plenty of weapon and vehicle types to scatter around the map, ODST drops are the perfect way to start the match, and the arena could be shrinking due to a flood exclusion zone. COD Warzone has been lackluster for the last few years and fortnight just isn’t something that interests me. I would absolutely spend a lot of time in a Halo BR.

Anything is possible I guess but my personal opinion o. A battle royale is it’s just not halo.
Halo used to be unique and still kinda is with the playlist thing and big team battle but not every game could succeed with battle royale and do I think it would be worth a try? Sure…maybe throw it out as a beta trial thing and see how people take to it but again, halo is unique in a lot of ways and not everyone will like it but a lot of people do how it is, when it works properly lol
Honestly I feel like a Battle Royal is possible in the halo lore. Several of the novels talk about situations where the Spartans were split into small teams of 4 all trying to survive. Personally I could see a survival mode taking place during the time before chief makes it to zeta halo to combat the banished. Either way i can see allot of potential with 343’s current take on the halo universe.
I dont think a battle royale is cannon , I dont play a battle royale for story or lore I play campaign for that but it does sound good what you said.
It would be interesting to see how it would play out…I’m. Or against it, but I’d be down to experiment and try it out.
It might be fun, and some people might hate it, but it would be nice to have something new like this.
But for now, if 343 can fix a lot of mistakes before next season, I have to thank God.

have a Credit System and make it a MMO LOBBY.
with a nifty local quickplay (acquaintances) TEAM MATCHUP system.
if you are playing the game like you are people shooting people, even to train
its inferior to being the impossible SPARTAN 2 in a PVP finger-sport.
