What I want to see in H5

So, I have had Halo 5: Guardians since launch and since then have thought about what I want to be added to Halo 5 and also what needs to change/stay the same. Because of that, I have decided to make a list of what I want to see in H5 the most post launch. Here we go

Playlists and Game-types additions

  • Doubles
Halo 5 Arena is so competitive so a doubles playlist will work so well with the gameplay. Also, a game-type that you can comfortably queue with one other person rather than having to have another 3 people to partner up with. - Un-ranked Arena
Right now it is hard for me to go into a playlist and practice certain aspects of my game without worrying about losing. I want a place where I can stop worrying about losing for one second and just have a casual game. Also, it would be a place for less competitive people to play. - Snipers
The sniper is one of the most important power weapons in Halo. I want a place where I can use it as much as possible. - Ricochet
Ricochet has the potential to be extremely competitive if it were to have maps made specifically for this game-type. I’d love to see 4v4 pro games of this. - Infection
This shouldn’t need explaining. Halo customs is based around this game-type. It is a core part of the halo community and will keep the replay-ability high for less competitive gamers - Oddball
It’s oddball, nuff said. Watching H3 MLG oddball was so intense and the sway of the game could change so fast.Playlist Changes

  • No radar for ranked Team Slayer and Team Arena
Radar has never really been a part of competitive Halo and I don’t think it should be there for H5. This will also increase the importance of communication.Forge
So far all the features that have been announced has been awesome, there are just a couple of things that I want to address after seeing this post over at ForgeHub

  • Trait zones
Apparently trait zones weren’t part of the forge build the cartographers used during their visit to 343i. If they aren’t in a final build then that would be disappointing. Using trait zones to modify parts of the map was very useful. Even more so was the ability to have a trait zone apply only to a specific team. This made asymmetrical game-types even more interesting.
Another thing that I believe would be extremely useful would be the ability to script trait zones. Having a team be able to activate a trait zone on a map to give them a perk would be amazing. Imagine what could be created with just this tool. - Decals
Apparently only the letters A-E are being added as decals. This, to me, seems unnecessarily limiting. The aesthetics that could be achieved using decals could be great if we had the whole alphabet (Naming buildings, giving instructions in mini-games, etc)
Anyway, for now that is all. What do you guys think? Have I missed anything? Do you disagree with anything?
