What I want in Theater

Sounds fantastic!

I’d like the ability to skip time while filming so while making a machinima I don’t need to create a ton of film clips.

thanks for all the positive replies!

The only one that I really want is the rewind option, for getting the right angles for pics. I really do not need the other options unless I’m making a youtube video and those are pretty simple to operate with Windows Live Movie Maker or the like.

In game editor so you can add FX in theater instead of having to do it in forge.

The one thing that really bugs me with Theater is the lack of a “Skip Forward” feature when viewing matchmaking videos, but the rest are excellent ideas as well!

I agree. It’s so annoying when I want to find out at some point in the game, I usually just give up though. This needs to be fixed!

Agreed, and I agree with OP too. Theatre is an excellent tool but so unpolished, a few small changes could make it so much better!
Skip forward (a set time) or backwards, rewind or fast forward. Must in-game audio/announcer, and be able to see others from FPS view, might be hard to implement but sure would be awesome. Especially when someone pulls of awesome incredibly feat, you check theatre and they you’ll see it’s even legit O.O

I’d like to be able to have it record at the speed I play the video. Like Black Ops, you could hit record, and then you had full control of how fast the video played, and with that control, the speed at which you played it was the speed it showed up in the video afterwards. Makes for showing the detail by recording it slowly, or for skipping parts quickly in video.

skip forward would be nice

That, and a faster forward. I can’t tell you how many awesome moments I haven’t captured in theater because they happened at the end of a 30 minute game and I had no intention of forwarding through all of it, which literally takes like 10 minutes.
