What I want in Halo 6

Okay, here’s my wish list.

  1. A Never Forget theme song to play at some point in the game.
  2. Playable Elites (pls)
  3. The final mission to be a warthog run ;’)
  4. Arbiter to be a playable companion of Chief in campaign.
  5. Invasion in MP.
  6. A flyable pelican in MP (Maybe some super big game mode, or just custom games/forge)
  7. A hornet, wasp, and falcon, as well as a Banshee, phaeton and maybe even a vampire.
  8. Full character customization
  9. Original firefight.
  10. Dark, and gritty color scheme like what we used to have.
  11. Martin O’Donnell.
  12. NO. REMIX. MAPS.

“Dark and gritty” was for ONE game. Let us please not go back to that.

So you’d rather have the shiny glossy looking armor and maps now?
I preferred Halo 3’s art style way more, although it wasn’t really dark, but it was definately darker.

Why are people so obsessed with this? Just because CE and 3 did it doesn’t mean it’s a necessity.

Because they’re more fun than quick time events.

Hornet, Wasp, Falcon, and a Pelican? And that’s just the Human side.

A Pelican has no real use, and a Hornet and a Falcon are nearly the same thing.

A hornet and a falcon are nothing alike… At least the falcons that don’t have a pilot weapon.

It’s iconic and fun

You’re right, the Falcon gives that up to have turrets on the side.

The Hornet passengers had to rely on their own weapons.

Now both of them have disadvantages, and they’ll both be shot out of the sky by team shot if it’s anything like Halo 5.

A hidden flood out break easter egg on the outside of the map with a unhostile promethian solider guarding the entrance with a light rifle with an interaction prompt and a secret skull in the midst of the flood. Surrounded by flood carriers…

  1. Old art style (no more futuristic art style, Old Mombasa/New Mombasa really captured the UNSC art style)

  5. UNSC needs to be a lot less powerfull, like before Halo 4 : a hopeless war, glassing, less Spartans, less ships, no space superiority, (remember when Covenant fleets were easily destroying human fleets ? In Halo 4, Escalation and 5, Covenant get crushed, and it is really becoming boring…)
  6. ODST need to be back, as well as Marines Corp
  7. Huge Blue Team characters development
  8. Return of Lord Hood
  9. A Halo ring
  10. The Flood (a level like 343 Guilty Spark)
  11. Sentinels
  12. Scarabs
  13. Halsey
  14. No more Prometheans
  15. No more Infinity
  16. Playable Elites in MP
  17. More outdoor, Covenant and Forerunner maps in MP instead of UNSC industrial maps like Empire, Eden, Stasis, Torque…
  18. Old Firefight
  19. Campaign theater
  20. Armors : quality over quantity. Halo 5 MP armors are horrible and I can’t recognize them in MP. Halo 3 and Reach amors were perfect and recognizable immediatly.

And the most important : I want Halo 6 to be a realistic military science fiction (like Bungie’s Halos), I don’t want it to be a comic with super-heros.

I have to say I really like where 343 took multiplayer in Halo 5. But there’s a ton of room for improvement in the campaign side, some of which you’ve touched on here. I was going to post this as a new thread, but since you’ve already got this one going on I’ll just leave this here:

I love Halo. I assume most of you do as well. What is it that makes Halo awesome? Probably the absolutely compelling gameplay first and foremost. Something about it just grabs you, it’s polished, responsive, rewarding, and very addictive. There is also the story, which adds another layer of awesome, and I hope to enjoy its progression for years to come. But, I have to say, after playing through all the main Halo campaigns there is still definitely room for improvement. So, here are just a few ideas that might help keep things spiced up, and feeling fresh and full of life moving forward with future Halo campaigns where the careful mechanical balancing of the game can give way to crazy tools and hectic encounters (some of which may be translatable to multiplayer).

More varied environments/weather/natural events

  • Underwater - Space wreckage (zero g) - Planets with burning surfaces à la Pitch Black (requiring special equipment or nighttime only operation) - Planets with extreme cold environments (requiring special equipment) - Snow Storms - Rain with visor effects or technically “shield” effects - Tornados and wind storms cause flying debris - Volcanoes erupting, etc.Fun new (or not often seen) experiences/flourishes/equipment/lack of equipment

  • Capture enemy ship in space: Star wars 2003 how to get new ship when your ships is damaged - YouTube

  • Play as a Spartan out of his/her armor when ship or base is attacked unexpectedly - Fist fight/knife fight (without gun in hand) - Hold gun in club-like position when out of ammo - Take control of a large ship (destroyer/cruiser) to bombard a target - Ride in the back of a scout hog… Seriously, why can’t we do this yet? - Use the Jackal Shield in some way shape or form, please. Perhaps as part of a legendary sword req in firefight where you duel wield it with an energy sword? Gladiator fights? Eh? Eh? - Take control in sequences such as these: - Giving back the bomb in Halo 2 Giving the Covenant back their Bomb - Halo 2 Anniversary (1080p/60FPS) - YouTube - Falling out as Blue Team in Halo 5 Halo 5 Cutscene - Halo 5 Guardians Intro Cutscene for Master Chief's Blue Team - YouTube - Lekgolo in forms other than a standard hunter - Beaches of Normandy style battle (large chaotic battles) - Fighting in freefall after bailing out of a dropship - Start a level inside a drop pod as in ODST, but have control - Make decisions that involve a moral dilemma.Example:
    Evacuate the atmosphere in a ship bay to kill a large amount of covenant but also sacrifice a few marines, or go fight them all with soldiers that are following you (putting their lives at risk as well) and attempt to save the marines.
    (And it doesn’t even have to affect the overall plot, but it could change passive dialogue from marines and such later on: “Spartans are true heroes” or “Spartans are just heartless machines”)

  • Wildlife that interacts with you (seen in Reach). Maybe a ride-able creature in some unconventional situation - A covenant vehicle that requires cooperation to be fully functional like the spectre from Halo 2 (I am of course not counting the Wraith turret) - Not ending a game with a quick time event, especially when you are aware of the only possible outcome long before it happens and it just becomes an exercise in button pushingI realize some of these ideas may be very technically challenging, or even impossible to implement on current gen hardware, but it’s just food for thought.

Better story, Longer Campaign, No less then 10 missions, More Master Chief, 0 noncombat missions. Don’t make the enemies plot just another stereotypical AI rebellion, make it have some Forerunner significance in it like Halo 4 did. More Forerunner vehicles and have them explode in wreckage like the covenant vehicles instead of just desiderating. Didact return as the villain and real mastermind behind the guardians and the AI rebelion. Darker and more emotional theme. Cortana redeeming herself in the end. Rtas Vadum and the Shadow of Intent. Split Screen. Overall Opinion on Halo 5 Guardians, Multiplayer was good(with the exception of no split screen) gameplay and graphics were good, We just want a better Story and Campaign. I know not everyone will agree with me but I’m just giving some suggesting that could make Halo 6 more enjoyable for fans than Halo 5.

I just want it to be a Halo game…something we haven’t actually had in a while.

I want 343’s creative director to be swapped out with someone like you or me. XD
