What I want Halo 4 To Look Like

Halo 3, re-skinned. That’s in a nutshell. Don’t follow reach’s footsteps. It had a good idea but it didn’t deliver

-Stray away from load outs
-No armor abilities
-Bring back the BR for goodness sakes
-Increase jump height
-Remove falling damage
-Remove firefight (don’t want effort wasted in something irrelevant)
-You can keep customization options but don’t do some Cr system as reach
-Bring back leveling system, much more satisfying than credits etc.
-Keep bleed through like Halo 3 had
-No Bloom, oh man please no Bloom
-No health etc, straight up shields like before Halo Reach
-Make almost every medal announced, and then give us the option to turn them off or not, I’d love to hear the announcer shout cast everything I do haha
-Forge was good in Halo Reach, never really used it but it seemed decent, try and find a way to fix screen lag and tears if for instance there was to much glass on the map
-I’d like to see some Halo 3 remakes personally, like the Pit and Guardian back in Halo 4

I could post a hugeeeeee list of really small thinks but for now I’ll leave you all with this. I’m sure you’ve heard other peoples ideas and hopefully you’ll take our suggestions into consideration.

-A Bowl of Fruit

You know the ‘Thank’ button? After reading your post, I really wish there was a ‘Hate’ equivalent.

I want Halo 4 to be less like Reach and more like Halo.

I would say keep firefight, and just have it to the side for the people who still want to play it. I wouldn’t have it removed completely. And i do think that fall damage should be removed, we’ll be playing as spartan II’s again i hope which means they should be bigger and stronger, unlike those model III’s that were weaker and more expendable.

> You know the ‘Thank’ button? After reading your post, I really wish there was a ‘Hate’ equivalent.

Tell me, what are the things that the OP made you mad with?

I also agree on the ‘Hate’ button.

How about instead of begging for a Halo 3.5, we simple let 343 take the path they want Halo to take?

> You know the ‘Thank’ button? After reading your post, I really wish there was a ‘Hate’ equivalent.

Just be glad 343i doesnt take all of the ideas the community posts and implements them into the game immediately, even if some of them would break the game which is what some people don’t realize.

Probably the most irrational idea I have seen in a while.

What’s with you guys? Sure he’s a little overzealous on the Halo 3 thing, but hate?

I personally want Halo 4 to be based off Halo 2 and 3. That doesn’t mean we should backtrack on stuff like Firefight though. Why can’t we fix it instead of just throwing it out?

Hey OP!

Remove the first paragraph and you’ll get less hate posts.

I want Halo 4 to be less like… oh, I already said that.

People just don’t get that there’s no such a thing as Halo 3.5. But what you said, sounds like it, because you didn’t write anything new.

I consider HCEA a HCE.5, because it’s the exact same game without nothing new, but only the graphics.

So basically they could save a lot of time in your eyes by re-releasing Halo 3 all over again?

Loadouts were cool but only for specific playlists.
Firefight is great, but needs tweaking, Flood could help it.
Halo 3 did have Health it just wasn’t shown.
Do you want Halo 3? Because it’s still sales at GameStop &/or other places.

Do you even know what bleed through and bloom is?

To me you sound like a kid going with the flow. Which can have good effects, but I think being unique, with weird, but awesome ideas is better.

> How about instead of begging for a Halo 3.5, we simple let 343 take the path they want Halo to take?

Ultimately this is what’s going to happen. They are going to make the game how they see fit. The community’s feedback here is going to be a small portion of what goes into the game.

Especially considering at this point the game is probably nearing completion within months.

The general throwing-away of great ideas Reach put forward that simply need fine-tuning. It’s like the first caveman who discovered fire snuffing it out because he singed his fingers.

And yeah, I can see the Hate button getting a real workout in these sorts of topics.

I don’t want Halo 4 to be like Reach, and i don’t want to be like Halo CE, or 2, or 3. I want Halo 4 to be like Halo 4.

What great ideas did Reach put forward?

Hate is a word that’s been overused to the point it’s pretty much meaningless. Saying you hate something nowadays really doesn’t mean you hate it, it just means it’s a source of mild irritation. For real hate, we have despise, loathe, et cetera.

Whoa! Did he just say remove Firefight.

I can’t believe what I’m hearing.

If you don’t like FF, don’t play it. There are many who really enjoy the gametype, like myself.

All I want is for FF to become something bigger though. It needs to evolve.

From Wartortle to Blastoise.
