What I want from the REQ system

As we all know, the Halo 5 REQ system can be quite disappointing when you open a pack that you worked quite hard for. And guess what. You get everything you always never wanted. Now this is annoying for me as I have no way of knowing what I Will get or my progress through the system. Maybe that’s why I don’t have a banshee yet even at lol 55…Still. The fact annoys me that just 2 weeks ago I just got Ravening Sliver and I’ve had the game since launch. Inlike new content, but I barely get any of it due to my already existing problem.

What I think we need is a new way to shop for REQs. Why? Because if we can BUY certifications directly for what we want as well as armour, then we get apeverything we want easily. The armour and certifications can be more expensive than certain packs, as long as they aren’t too expensive. Mythics maybe at 8000-10000 points. This could make things a lot more simple and more normal for newer players and guys like me who just can’t be *rsed to do too much. It would make it much easier, plus, since 343 likes making everything canonical nowadays, I’m pretty sure the military doesn’t make its troops fight each other to earn points in which they would buy packs of randomised stuff so that they can increase their efficiency in training. It’s annoying now. Do I sound like another typical complainer who wants an easier gaming experience? Well you can say I am, Reach’s armoury was very successful and the Collection system can be made to have the same success, now that we actually get weapons we can keep and use. So yeah, if you think it’s a good idea, please post a comment and I’ll respond.

I fully agree with this but 343 needs some way to squeeze money out of people.

I think it’s called marketing…

it’s called making the game worth-while.

Good point, but nonetheless, these packs are getting to be quite irritating now and getting nothing that I need constantly is becoming too annoying.

Don’t judge but I have been playing Clash Royale on my tablet, and I really like their system. Halo 5 could easily implement this, it is the idea that there are random regs, but every day there are 3 specific items you can buy, but they increase in price based on rarity. So you could have sale weekends that bring sales to these items. But instead of random things for the 3/whatever amount of items they decide to use, there is one armor piece, one weapon, one vehicle, etc. The only problem is if you have a selected armor piece, but it really doesn’t matter because tomorrow it will be something different.

Hmmm… seems interesting. I just want to go back to Halo 4’s method of getting armor, it was way more easy to get what you wanted and much more cheaper.

I like the req system as it is, what you are suggesting will make collecting everything much quicker and completing commendations much quicker, you might think that is a good thing but the longer it takes means the longer the game has people’s interest. Just enjoy the game for what it is and don’t take it so seriously.

I like that idea, a bit like Xür from Destiny, but a daily occurrence, I like that, because I am honestly just tired of not getting anything I want about 70-80% of the time
