What i want for forge

Ok, before we get started, notice I said “what “I” want” K? k, we’re good. Also, if there is already a thread about this, well, I don’t know about it.

Now, I know I will be asking for too much, and it will must likely not happen or even be considered, but eh.

Weather Control
Do I need to say more? Wouldn’t it be cool to have a storm on a map? maybe sand, or snow, or just heavy rain, some fog? I think being able to control the weather of the map would be interesting and cool.

Many environments/themes
Ever since I heard of bungie and forge world, I knew I would enjoy it lots, and I did, but it got boring real quick. I think it would be cool to add a city like theme, like metropolis in halo 2, or a sand like theme, like sandtrap.

Landscape control
Now I KNOW this one is asking too much, but one can always dream. Do I really need to explain this one? I mean, being able to create your own mountains, your own islands and rivers, your own caves. This would take forge to a WHOLE new level.

Drivable pelican (others)
Come on 343, halo fans have been asking this since… a long time. I am not asking for a pelican on matchmaking, that would be stupid, i am asking for a drivable pelican on custom games only, hell, in forge only if you want. If you can’t add it drivable, at least add it non drivable. I also would love a drivable civilian warthog.

That’s honestly all I can think about right now. I know this is very unlikely to happen, but like I said, one can always dream. I mean, far cry has been able to do it and it works perfectly, but far cry is not forge, it’s making a whole map from scratch.

Just for discussion purposes what would you guys want added to the forge?

I agree with all of your ideas, but one:

Landscape control/Terrain editing isn’t really something meant for a tool like Forge, but better suited for a full blown map editor/Map Editing kit. Forge is more gear toward a multiplayer map editing environment, which doesn’t go well with rapid changing terrain, if you do stick a terrain editor in a tool like forge, you get connection LAG.
I personally think that we should forget about adding terrain editing to forge, or there should a full blown editing kit.

I completely and 100% disagree. A terrain editor, or at least a texture editor, is a natural evolution for forge to undergo.

Landscape manipulation is perfectly do-able. You just have to remember… disc space.

Texture editing wouldn’t put a strain on a network connection, but terrain editing would put a strain on the network connection, and cause lag.

Simple fix, make the terrain editing seperate from the forging. Join the two up in the end.

Forge? No… Map Editors never die.
