Chris Schlerf did an amazing job of writing Halo 4, so why did Brian Reed write halo 5?
Heres what (probably) happened
343: Hey Chris, we want you to write Halo 5.
Chris: Sure 343, i wrote Halo 4 with Halo 5 in mind, ive got some great ideas the fans will love.
343: Ohhhh… well, actually Chris, we have a few things we want in the game.
Chris: Like what?
343: Well for starters Cortana has to come back to life and be the villain, also the game will be squad based and have giant robot owls called guard…
Chris: Those are terrible ideas! Im not writing that garbage, it will ruin the halo universe!
343: Well we will just find someone who will write it then.
