I see so many threads around here about how perks are bad, and how armor enhancements will destroy Halo but i honestly feel like it will give Halo a fresh breath of air…
Unlike armor lock were i don’t know know what you have and i get bs’ed out of a kill, if you have a helmet on that gives you better accuracy with your gun, but your also a bigger hitmarker for me to shoot at, I think i can handle you. The same thing goes with the guy who spawns with the needler and me with an AR. In most situations I can out-wit the other player and kill him, so why can i not do the same thing in Halo 4? It’s just as easy for you to pick it up in the first 15 seconds of a match on the Pit as it is for me to not care about picking up any weapons and running into you…
Because perks make the game less skill based and turn it more situational. I want to play a balanced game where im not killed due to having the wrong perk for the wrong time. Halo is a game where we start out as equals and everything you do from then on is just you, not some advantage gained through merely making a decision and nothing more. A decision that may or may not be countered by other “perks” in an upcoming scenario. That isnt skill based.Thats just a guessing a game. Its just not the type of game halo is. It works for CoD and thats fine, but certainly not halo.

Exactly, the reason it works for Call of Duty and feels like it is balanced is because of the near instantaneous kill times. Halo does not have instant kill times so if this was implemented the imbalance would only be worse. This is why it does not work like Call of Duty. You cannot just grab an idea from another game because it works for it and expect it to work for Halo, that’s just plain illogical and it can destroy franchises.
no offfense but that serously removes the whole point of halo multiplayer.
the reason why i like halo is because of the way everything is balanced, u know everyone else has the same starting weopon and that nobody spawns with a sniper rifle.
if perks were added then its just copying call of duty and upsetting the balance in halo.
