Today I played quite a few BTB matches and it made me remember stuff that was anounced to change at some point:
- Equal weapons on both sides of the map (having one side with BRs and Shock Rifles, while the other has Commandos and Stalker Rifles is quite annoying)
- New map (more would of course be better - but just three maps for BTB got old a few months back)
- Vehicle changes (less flipping on the hogs, weapon improvements for banshee and chopper
- Further Radar adaptations (outer ring up to 40m)
What are your thoughts on the stuff we should get with S2 for BTB?

Would be great if this improvements would come with Season 2
Those are pretty much the essential changes I’d like to see, on top of the tweaks to the weapons and vehicles themselves like a Banshee that’s useful and a Warthog that won’t flip over if you run over a pebble.
With Friday here and me be able to chill and relax with some BTB, I do say that I still freakin’ love Infinite and BTB in particular and just want 343 to improve it to be the game it should be.

It’s not about what we should get for me, it’s more about how 343 doesn’t care to work with what has actually worked for Halo. In the process they end up making unnecessary changes to where they waste our time and their time and resources (avoiding] doing what’s right fighting to do what they want making matters worse.
Did BTB “need” the be built around the BP? Nope and that alone made BTB worse then previous titles.
Did 343 “need” to make us look like a beacon that you could spot anyone anywhere on the maps? Nope, that was a unnecessary change.
Did 343 “need” to change how weapons like the plasma pistol effect vehicles or performed in general? Nope, another unnecessary changes.
Did 343 “need” to change how weapons were placed on the map like the sniper that only has 3 in the chamber? Nope.
Did the maps “need” to be designed as a cluster that are not vehicle accessible? Nope.
I could go on and on about how stupid BTB actually is. The biggest problem with BTB is that 343 literally sucks at “balancing” the game. The main reason is that they go way overboard and they make things worse then what they were before, and what changes should take place to improve BTB 343 will (((literally))) fight the community to keep things how they are that is broken by working around instead of actually fixing what they broke.
343 you seriously need to stop fighting Halo, what Halo is and where it can go, because it’s literally knocking at your door trying to tell you how bad you screwed things up. Avoiding what you are doing wrong fighting to have “things your way” is not working for you at all.
BTB is built around the battlepass? What? Can you explain this to me? I just don’t believe that’s the case.
I don’t know why they mucked up the plamsa pistol, but everything else feels the same, assuming it’s not outright new.
Sniper has 4 rounds per mag? Same as always? Assuming you pick it up before a round has been fired. And the weapon pads are a good addition, showing what’s going to spawn that game and gives you an idea when. And skilled players can still use internal clocks to keep track of everything.
The only BTB map that doesn’t feel particularly vehicle friendly is the banished turret map, and even then, it still has clearly defined roads. They probably made everything off the main roads slightly more difficult so that players weren’t forced to fight vehicles to play or at least require some risk/reward considerations.
The worst part of BTB itself is asymmetrical spawns, that’s literally it.

Challenges seem to be more focused on than just playing the game. That the BP has you focused on. You literally see it all over this forum about players constantly bringing it up, that it is even constantly having players quitting matches because of the RNG and rotation in maps. Battle pass challenges has caused more problems for this game than there ever needed to be.

Opinion will vary, but Imo everything else does not feel the same.
-
Some weapons should be equally placed on the maps, the sniper is like in the middle of a maps, and what’s the point of the a rocket launcher in this game now?
-
Having designed roads on maps especially using the tank that someone didn’t play test the game let alone the open world. It’s ridiculous how huge it is on maps. It’s not even only that, it’s how watered down the game is making it stupid using ground vehicles. Then there is the lame change how plasma grenades are useless on some vehicles.
I get things shouldn’t be OP, but to go the complete opposite as 343 always does is just asinine. There is this thing called small adjustments to see how things play out…

I only agree on the plasma pistol and the asymmetrical spawning, the rest just feels like Halo with a fresh twist. And I have been a fan since Halo 3 (was to young to pick up 1 & 2 when they came out)
And I don’t get the point of ppl saying 343 is destroying Halo they should hand it back to Bunige (you can catch this phrase a lot in other posts)
343I are the devs from Bungie that made Halo they left Bungie because the had of Bungie decided they wont work on Halo anymore.
So the Devs from 343I are the founders of Halo its their game they are not ruing a legacy from another dev team they just try to shape Halo (which is their game) like they would like to have it. (Correct me if I am wrong with that information but when the 343 Industry got founded the news were that they are the former Halo dev team from Bungie)
I don’t get why ppl fight new ideas or mechanics why they want new Halos to be the remakes of the old games just in a new shell. I am sure ppl will complain about that the game does not evolve…
→ Do not get me wrong I am not here to protect 343 for the mistakes, misjudges they did (you can read my posts I criticized them a lot. And gave Ideas for Improvements) I think the main thing is a lot of the old stuff er took for natural and we were hyped but we got disappointed what we got.
But Halo Infinit has Infinit potential if 343 starts working together with us. They need to hear us and work with us, sure the input from Pros is a thing but tbh WE the community matter much more.
Sorry I drifted away……
The scorpions and wraiths are OP if you ask me. Warthogs need some better shielding and we need the Gauss Warthog.
I am sure that the game will improve but I would recommend them to do something like a relaunch marketing campaign when the Game is in shape (hopefully with season 3) otherwise the playerbase wont grow much more

That’s not the fault of BTB in particular, that’s just bad implementation, having an Oddball challenge but no oddball playlist or simply having challenges forcing you into the ranked game-mode are definitely things that should be looked into though.
-
Fair enough, thankfully they’re buffing plasma pistol so hopefully it can actually do it’s original job again.

Sniper is still placed on the middle of maps? Excluding launch site which is a bad map by design. I know the stalker and shock rifle spawn asym sometimes in BTB, but again, having asym spawns in BTB is the big dumb to begin with.
Rocket is a nice spash damage machine, good for groups of enemies and light-to-medium vehicles, not so good for the wraith and Scorpion which does seem like an oversight. Wish they’d bring its lock on back for things like the wasp.
- I hadn’t even considered that, the few times I’ve even seen the tank, I’ve seen it eat 3 skewer shots though, so yeah, could definitely use some adjustments.
When I look at this game I can’t help but think, gee, if 343 would stop changing things that worked for Halo, would there really need to be as many adjustments, changes, etc… As there has been and will be?
Nope, and there lies the actual problem. Bungie did this with D2 and has wasted so much time and resources all these years when they could have easily worked with and maybe improve what worked for Destiny. Now I’m seeing the same dumb process happening to Halo because the developer “wants things theIr way”, and try to avoid all the issues they have caused.
