What I liked about the Gameplay.

Most of the feedback i’ve seen is negative, so I want to say positive stuff.

-Open screen. The “press = to start demo” area. It looks really nice, and very calming.

-Music. Very nice music, what can I say?

-Dialogue. Feels genuine and the voice acting is nice.

-Condors. Nice connections to “obscure” vehicles.

-AR. Sure the textures are odd, but its just a demo. I LOVE that its more of a Reach style, with the counter being an attachment. I like that this implies that there are others, but I wont speculate too much.

-wildlife. Nice additions, and I hope there are Moas.

-Mix of new and old grunts.

-Warthog, nice sounding and looking.

  • blue mist for the grunts, presumably blood.

-landscapes and skybox

-Map, and the fact that there is a database.

-upgrades. I love that there are upgrades, and makes every playthrough unique.

-suggestion of different difficulties for every mission? might be annoying, might not, I dunno.

-suicide grunts.

-elite rolled.

-equipment

-Craig. Make this an easter egg.

-Spike grenade and Ravager. Ravager really looks awesome, and seems like a substitution for the concussion rifle. (would be awesome if extra melee damage when using)

-Interactions with bullets. Armor being ripped off, brute stumbling, etc.

-Jackals have energy shields that open up only during combat.

-Flying/throwable grunts. Best feature ever

-pulse carbine SOUND. (i think it overheats way to easily.)

-Mauler. (would be awesome if it had extra melee damage.)

-Grappling hook.

-red weapons when out of ammo in bottom right of HUD

-Shade turrets with shields.

-Grunts pull grenades out of back.

-Fuel rod case thingy throwable.

-blue grunt? new rank?

-whole end speech.

If the harbinger is not YAPYAP the DESTROYER i will not play this game. (/s)

I’m loving the positivity, helps break up the negativity.

I would maybe try add some spaces between the lines though. That was getting difficult to read

Unfortunately the feedback we see surface is negative, they get a lot of attention and it spreads. But in the end it’ll be positive… we’ll win

Alright, thanks for the little tip, have a nice day!

To be fair, that’s probably just for the demo.

I agree for Chief and Brohammer, but the Brute speech at the end was pure cringe, it literally reminded me of bad trash-talk in Wrestling. I was expecting the Undertaker to appear out of the corner to challenge that gorilla to a match.

I’ve seen this posted quite a lot and I’m genuinely scratching my head. Can anybody post a screenshot of the old grunts, because I didn’t see any? I saw the new grunts wearing the old armor, but it was still the ugly Bubonic plague victims from the last two games.

> 2535406438526922;1:

This I agree with. Finally, it no longer sounds like the -Yoink- child of a lawnmower and an RC Toys car as it did in 343’s previous games.

> 2535406438526922;1:

The landscapes are okay (when the game manages to correctly load them, that is), but the Skybox felt pretty boring. It was just a generic blue sky, no distinct features in it, no planets or moons in the vicinity, no starships, nothing.
How is that even possible? Shouldn’t Zeta Halo be in orbit of a planet? And what about the debris from that huge battle that is constantly mentioned? You know, the one where Chief was floating in during the opening cutscene of the game?

Didn’t they do that in every single game? Like, literally, since Halo CE?

You do realize that people make fun of Craig as a proxy for everything that is wrong with the game’s graphics, right?

I don’t. I just think he’s funny. I’d love to see a Craig easter egg. Maybe we could call it an easter Craig

Ok so here we go.
-Old armor is suited for older grunts, its pretty much designed for them.
-I personally just liked how the landscapes look. If you think its not that impressive then thats great.
-I said I liked that the elites rolled, and its not a feature that has been taken out.
-I personally actually like Craig. Im not making fun of it, and Im very happy that 343i is interacting with the community with Craig.

I dont think that moas would appear on the ring, they was a native animal from Reach, and the only wildlife in the forerunner artifacts is all created by them.
I also like the new armor, it reminds me of the Halo Legends one
So as the pilot, he don’t care if the Chief has saved the galaxy many times, but he is not like Sarah palmer, Locke or Captain del rio who thinks that the chief is nothing but an old soldier.

I thought the demo was good honestly. I liked the start-up menu as well. I also liked how some Spartan abilities like, sprint, clamber and slide were kept. The grapple hook certainly caught me off guard but I look forward to using it.

I thought it was good too, and had a feeling we would have a good story in infinite

What I liked:

  • Dialogue between chief and pilot. - Art style - Classic covenant look - Blood that comes out of grunts when you shoot them (all though it wish it was on the floor) - New weapons but don’t like the way they replacing classic shotgun and pistol. I like new ones but should had kept old at same time. I do hate the sound of it. - Flying grunts. - Spike grenade is back. - Equipments like H3 are back. - Start menu. - Soundtrack. - Chiefs armor. - Open world all though i hope it’s not repetitive. - Shield regen sound. - Battle rifle and energy sword is back on their bungie looks. Idk why people are really negative about this game. Even though demo had bad graphics, halo infinite demo actually feels like halo to me. I’m not dissapointed with it, I just wish I could be better and I don’t like the way multiplayer is free to play. There is some stuff I don’t like but this demo feels like halo more than 4 and 5.

lol are you competing for something? Win what?
I always saw it as: you don’t need to talk about the positive quite as much because it is already good, the Negative responds are more important for improvement, that is not to say they have done a completely bad job and it’s absolutely not to say that we shouldn’t talk about the good things too.
The negative feedback is what is making them delay the game and work on it even more, they seem to have listened, in the end that negativity might make us all winners!
I see a lot of both negative and positive and I like that, but I do value the negative more personally and I think we should encourage people to be negative if that is how they feel.
It’s just out of their love for the franchise, I find that positive, not unfortunate.

I agree with far from everything but this is a great list!

Yeah, I agree, criticism is important. But absolutely none of it is constructive (from what I’ve seen), all I ever hear is “haha looks like mega blocks”. Then people point out that it looks good in 4k, runs 120HZ, with splitscreen! And people just respond with, “everything looks good in 4k”, what kind of an argument is that? I agree the game doesn’t look good in terms of textures. And with some of the pop-in we saw in the background, I’m worried about render distance, and the effect on immersion. However, nobody makes valid criticisms anymore, not in the Halo community. They just point out how 343 messed everything up, despite how successful Halo 5 was, in everything but campaign. Most of the OG Halo community just doesn’t want to see a Halo game do good, they want to see the franchise in ruins. That way they can say they were the first, they were there when it was good. I was there too, my first game being 3, but I’ve played all of the games, for hours on end. I want to see Infinite do good, and I still enjoyed 5’s multiplayer and 4’s campaign. If I had to throw valid criticism at 343, it wouldn’t be “haha, 4 and 5 bad”. It’d be putting into question the Hunt the Truth campaign, which, while masterfully done in terms of story, was extremely misleading. Halo 5 had nothing to do with “Hunt The Truth”, which was massively upsetting, and the main reason I don’t like 5’s campaign (That and the plethora of warden eternals). Though I do get it, putting it as “We’ll win” comes off almost childish, I see his point. Most people don’t want to see Halo succeed, especially most of the OG fans, so to hell with them. Who cares what they think, if this game has a large amount of players, and most people see it as fun, like with 5. Then who really cares, we’ll have “won” as they had put it. Sorry for ranting, but I just care about Halo, and I find it interesting to discuss most things to do with 343.

TLDR: Halo is never beyond criticism, but that goes for every Halo game. And yet nobody acknowledges any positives with Infinite, or anything 343 does for that matter.

Yeah I hear you mate and I’m with you on this.
While “it looks like minecraft” is pretty funny I agree that it is not critisism, might be a reason you dislike it and that is fine, but it doesn’t really help 343 to get anywhere.
And for the rest of it I completly get where you are coming from on that.

I liked the music and, well, that start menu that was probably just for the demo and… I guess the AR design, if it had better textures? I guess that’s it :frowning:

What I liked

  • The music is looking really promising so far - Seeing wildlife in the game, hope the game introduces more wildlife that we can interact with (Moas and gutas for examples) - Start menu is perfection - We got stalker brutes - Brought back old elites artystyles, thank god - How the Grapple shot fabricates the sandbox in the game - The graphics were eh, but I really did liked the particle effects. - Hearing 343 say that AI have the possibility to change their weapons (Wasn’t in the gameplay but hey) - The banished - Craig (There’s more then one if you look closely enough, I think) - Ravager and the revolver

In the end the game will be good. The negative feedback will form into positive. We’ll win as a community. Sorry I didn’t make that clear.

  • The combat loop as shown so far - no ADS or smart link so far - no bullet sponge enemies
