Am I the only one who thinks that we are pretty much just playing a beta of what Halo 4 should have been? The game itself has so much potential but there are so many oversights in the game that people hate it. I feel like 343i just wanted to beat CoD and not make an actual quality game. Now don’t go on saying that I’m a hater because I’ve been a loyal fan of the Halo series from the beginning. But we have to admit that if they had released the game earlier, then it would’ve been better. Or if they would’ve had a beta it would have been A LOT better than what it is. Anyone agree?
You’re most definitely not the only one who feels that way. I’ve seen the same feeling expressed far more than I’ve seen praise for the game.
I don’t really feel this way, personally.
I do think there should be a “classic” playlist with none of the features some people seem to dislike, separate social and ranked playlists, and a transparent trueskill that goes up and down by playing in the ranked playlist (not replacing the current XP system, but alongside it.) And having theater replays of campaign and spartan ops would be great.
But overall, it’s my favorite Halo since CE. I understand the criticism, though.
But honestly, the game itself seems very rushed. They don’t even have a file browser up. That just creams oversight on their part. It seems that they just wanted to beat CoD in the release catagory of things and that has cost them dearly in the longrun.

It was very rushed. I’ve been exploring the Campaign and the textures are just roughly splattered on the edges of the maps and you can see the emptiness outside the map from inside the map! The sheer ease of escaping the maps themselves definitely points toward a rushed job.
I think the game is great but IF it was rushed it would be Microsoft wanting to get it out before Christmas not 343, a lot of people don’t seem to understand that.
The fact killcams dont work is just another in your face facts of the rush job. They should have pushed the release date to Q1 2013 and had a 3 week beta in November. Im sure everyone would have acepted that.

I’ve noticed this as well especially on the Pelican mission and how you can just fly to the last tower and jet pack inside, thus skipping the whole mission pretty much.

I personally would’ve preferred that over having a game with a million oversights.
