I’ve seen a lot of vitriol about the gameplay demo. I want to add a voice because I think most of the messaging out there is unclear and unhelpful or downright rude. It’s just a game after all. People can simply not purchase it if they don’t like how it looks (as I chose not to with Halo 4 and 5). It’s real simple. However, what we see is so close to perfect I couldn’t hold back on adding this.
Most people were upset with the ILM-greeble-rangers-directed-by-Michael-Bay look, and we’ve got our classic-Halo-inspired-by-Aliens look back. It’s all I wanted, and, for the most part, it looks like I’ve got it. The geometry on brute armor looks very faithful to Halo 3. People are dumping on 343 for graphics and it’s unfair, they deserve accolades for listening to all the long-time halo fans who are attached to the classic look and feel.
