What I don't understand about the Halo community.

Good evening everyone, today I’m going to be talking about a topic that I cannot answer to, I want to know your opinions on this topic.

Let’s start with: Remastered Halo’s
It has come to my attention that 75% of the Halo community hates 343 Industries with a passion but still want to have a game remastered by them. I honestly do not understand this. This is what they want remastered: Halo: Reach, Halo 3.
Halo: Reach and Halo 3 are the most popular Halo games that the community want remastered. I honestly don’t believe that we should get anymore Remastered Halo Titles. I know that sounds like a buzz kill but it’s true.
But the real question is do we need anymore Reamasterd Halo games?

Note: that this is what I have noticed on the Forums constantly. Everything I talked about is my opinion. I will most likely continue these questions in the later future.

I want a H3A, but don’t want 343 anywhere near it. That being said, if they did make it I’d wait for reviews and probably end up buying it.

The good thing about full remasters (similar to H2A) is that 343 can’t ruin the game with awful decisions because it’s already been made.

They made Halo CEA and Halo 2A or atleast were heavily involved in both so why not let them make Halo 3A?

Halo 2 anniversary is change let’s look at one interesting game mechanic, the elites in that game have weaker shields than in halo 2 classic.

they have no reason to remaster Halo 3 considering they kept Master Chief wearing the same Armor he had in regular Halo 3 from Halo 2 anniversary and why change the graphics of a already beautiful looking game? Also it wouldn’t make sense from a lore perspective.

They don’t stay faithful to the games they bother to remaster, and I don’t really see any point in remastering Halo 3 anyways.

I’d love to see a remaster of Halo 3 for the sole purpose of the campaign cinematics.

H2A’s remastered cutscenes almost made me cry they were so beautiful.

I don’t mind seeing 343 remaster older Halo games. They’ve shown that they can do good work when they don’t have to think about the gameplay mechanics. When you give 343 complete control over a game’s gameplay, we end up with things like ordinance drops, unlimited sprint, ground-pound, flinch, no descope, ADS, etc. Halo 4 and Halo 5 have had awful gameplay, in my opinion. They need to stick to just re-creating Bungie’s work. When left on their own, they try to reinvent things where things don’t need to be reinvented.

Completely agree, they (343i) do okay working with Bungie source material, they tend to fall on their face when they try to come up with their own original content.

Explain? The campaigns were totally the same with remastered graphics and sounds…how is that not staying faithful?

We should get H3A because 1-3 was the trilogy that created it all

I wish they had remastered 3 with MCC. That way we all could just move forward with the franchise. We already have a vocal minority that can’t get passed 2005. They are like that high school football allstar at the 20 year reunion that still lives in the town, still goes to the high school parties, and talks about his glory days while still wearing his letter jacket. Stuck in time with no way to move forward.

I move forward by playing newer game franchises. When I play Halo, I want gameplay that plays like a classic Halo game. When I want something more modern, I’ll fire up Titanfall, Destiny, or something else.

Well, if nobody else wants to call you out for “75% of the Halo community hates 343 Industries with a passion” then I will. At least do a ridiculous and completely unscientific poll before you make wild and unsubstantiated statements.

And I can’t swear to it, but I doubt very much that anybody cares a whole lot about remastered anniversary titles except the developer who stands to make some money off of them. People may say things like “I’d like to see them do a Reach Anniversary Edition,” but that’s because it will likely get made regardless, and they likely have some fond memories of the game, but nobody is waiting around for a re-mastered title with even a tenth of the anticipation of a new one.

Help fight Uncle Rico syndrome. Give generously.

I want a remastered version of 3 so that they could get a better feel of what the community saw in Halo 3 that is absent in 4/5, (not stuff like the gameplay but features and story development). I don’t see why Reach should be remastered, that’s Bungee’s last gift to us, plus it holds up pretty good.

Then play classic Halo. There are already 3 games of it. Let the rest of us who like the new games play the new Halo games.

I do play classic Halo. I host a Halo CE LAN party every other month or so. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like to play a new Halo game. It’s just that the new Halo games have really fallen short of the classics. Hell, if 343 would continue to support MCC, I’d be happy. But they won’t do that. Our next hope is to try to steer the series back on course for Halo 6.

No I don’t want anymore remastered Halo. Time to move forward with the story and see what will become of Cortana and the Chief.

I don’t want another -Yoinking!- remastered game. I’m still not certain why we even got the first two. The only, ONLY reason I even bought them is because of the terminals and Halo Nightfall (which is a mistake I am still regretting). Personally, I still find the original version, affects, and design of the games to be canon with the remastered versions as sort of a “story told to other people” type of thing.
