What hope do unarmored Marines have in infinite??

As you attempt to Rescue marines, to escort them back to base, I can see them just dropping like flies after getting “one shot” by an enemy. Are you kidding me, without an armor what hope do they have???

I don’t think armor has anything to do with gameplay at all. Marines have the same Health and skill cap as an ODST and Spartan during gamelan. Asbits always mostly just a visual design, unless they sometimes have a helmet or Spartans with a shield. Besides that, I’m pretty sure they have the same highpoint as every AI.

It makes sense for captured marines to have their gear removed. Not only does it remove their protection if they try to escape, but also makes it so they can’t hide anything in its numerous pouches. I doubt a brute wants to waste time checking everything, easier and more efficient to just rip it off.

Playing with legendary set difficulty will probably be where they die very frequently. Especially without co-op to have more Spartans helping out.

To be honest, I totally expect marines without armor to drop just after a couple of shots.

So, you’re going to question the survivability of unarmored Marines, when they’ve literally been fighting a force that uses PLASMA that disintegrates anything too close from how hot it is, for almost 3-4 decades? What hope did they have with armor? lol Spartans had to rely on energy shields to avoid being cooked from the first few shots, but even then they didn’t always survive without a scratch (Linda-058 comes to mind).

They have all the hope, they have the chief.

To be honest, with the number of hits she took, if they were bullets she’d probably be toast too. Its rather amazing she wa able to survive that.

True, she’s not the Chief with his neverending supply of thick plot armor lol (I’m joking of course). Plot conveniences aside, Spartans aren’t bulletproof forever, though we haven’t seen too many instances where a naked Spartan has had to deal with the Covenant (though there are some instances of which I can’t remember off the top of my head).

Someone said the real answer.

The fact that they don’t have their armor makes sense because if they were held captive by the Banished they most certainly would not have been allowed to keep their armor at all. Even so in the previous Halo games the armor Marines did have wasn’t really sufficient to protect them from more than a few plasma shots anyway. I’m sure there will be plenty of marines out there that still have their armor and gear but the ones we saw were less fortunate
