What has the best armour ? And what route should Halo 4 pursue ?

Elite Armour
Spartan permutations
colour customizability
Character Build
Cleanness (halo 3) vs dirtiness (Reach)

Should Halo 4 be more like Reach or 3 ?

Halo Reach’s Spartan customisation is much better than Halo 3’s.

Reach, by far.

Spatans and Elites looked awesome in Reach, in Halo 3 they looked silly.

Reach’s customization was so much more in-depth. It is better by far.

To people who complain about no Elite customization in Reach… Due to Reach’s art style, it wouldn’t work. Imagine an Elite with full Minor armor, but a Field Marshall helmet. It would look silly.

This, but in more detail;

Halo 3’s armor customization wasn’t really… well Armor in Reach looked as though it would have some function, with gadgets, grenades and whatnot (For aesthetic purposes only.) where in H3, the armor itself just looked like… Shapes for the sake of shapes, if that makes any sense?

H3’s doesn’t look like it would function any differently than default.

But I think reach went to far with the use-ability of armour. Halo 3’s armour actually looked liked armour. Not just an extra little knife bracket here and there. I also miss the cleanness of halo 3, not just in the armour, and i’m glad Halo 4 resembles halo 3 more than reach.
However reach aced the helmets and colouring, but i cant help but wonder why that instead of using little add-ons on the legs and arms, they didn’t just make full pieces of armour.

Reach armour permutations looks like lego blocks.
They don’t look as if they’re part of the armour, but that they just “sit” on it.

I preffered Halo 3 by far. I found that because there was so much choice in Reach, I became obsessive and was constantly changing my armour between games… Never satisfied.

Halo 3 was nice and simple. Fewer armour choices BUT were all great looking; more sets and more difficult to unlock.

I really liked the halo 3 version of the EVA helmet.
