So, I’ve just come back after a month or so break from Halo 4 (To let them fix certain things and increase the playlist options) and I was wondering, what’s changed?
I’ve tried taking a look, reading 5/6 bulletins all at once is frying my brain a little.
I essentially just want to know the patches, tweaks and any news/information coming up. Also, a big one for me, has the fileshare made it over to the website yet or are we still stuck with pictures and film clips being isolated on our 360’s?
Thanks. Sorry for any irritation caused by this post, I know I’ve probably done something wrong that will spark a few heated comments toward me.
To be honest - nothing. All I know is that there were a FEW minor bugs fixed in Halo… but no real updates or fixes. 343i were on vacation for close to a month after releasing an unfinished game… so the only thing that ended up changing was the population. Look at the playlists… 300, 900, 1600 people in most of them. The last bulletin was 343 acknowledging they messed up Halo 4, but then backpeddling and acting like positive critic (ahem, paid critic) reviews are all that matter. They said they have to “do better next time” which is very vague… not only could that mean in the TU or not till H5 but they don’t even say what they messed up or what they will fix.
several ballance changes to the boltshot, to the lightrifle, to the thruster pack, among others I believe.
But in all honesty, they fell short, hard. They did only a fraction of what they had to, and they weren’t upfront about it either.
I’m dissapointed, not so much because I think the game is bad, but because it could have been better, and 343i proved themselves inept for whatever reason. Perhaps it’s because the staff were enjoying their bonuses though, cause I think there was only 1 team working on the weakly patches. Poor prioritization and direction, or maybe they’re just being less upfront than I give them credit for. WEll, whatever the case, despite my enjoyment of their game, I don’t trust them.
I like Halo 4. The game itself is actually very good, but it does fall short. I had hoped it would have been patched by now. It’s been 2 months since launch.
