What happens to the XP earned after SR70 cap?

Since we are XP capped at level SR70, do we still receive our XP once the new Specializations come in?

I finished the Campaign & Spartan Ops on Legendary, along with earning plenty of commendations & challenges; I wouldn’t want to have wasted that XP by playing them too soon.

Does anyone know anything about this?

It goes to the big XP graveyard in the sky!!!

i couldnt find an answer but then again i didnt look too hard, but i got my headshot mastery the exact same game i got my level 50 and i was only like 2500 exp from 50, i thought the 10k exp was gone, the very next game i got my kill mastery and it didnt give me exp for that either even after i got my spec up and running. i logged off at sr52 with a little bit of exp into it, then logged on the next day and i was sr53 with like 2k exp into it

You loose it all. It does not rollover. Basically 343 is saying, now that you got to level 70 you can wait for Microsoft to send you a code which it taking forever or go play another game and ditch ours. I’d take the latter.

I need a moderator to answer this question, to be sure. Is this system akin to Reach’s cap, where your xp transferred over once the cap was lifted? If so, I can play multiplayer again, free of worries(but don’t try to fool me because I’ll get mad and resort to awful things).

That’s lame as hell man. I was upset at first when I first hit the cap, but I didn’t put too much thought into what would happen to my XP. -Yoink- it. I’ll just go buy
NFSMW then,…

but in the mean time, is anyone down for some IS or TSP?

You don’t get it. If you notice whenever you finish a specialization it says complete and no longer has an exp bar. It doesn’t keep counting. There is nothing too be lifted. You aren’t capped at 70 you just haven’t started your next specialization. so until you do it will wait and the exp won’t count.

Oh and just so you know, the moderators here aren’t of any help as they don’t post about peoples concerns. They’re too busy counting the moolah they made.

Then I’ll just have to ask that 343 reset my commendations. It’s the only option they will have left to compensate for missing xp.

BS Angel stated that it does not roll over to the next specialization.

If you are in the UK then buy a Specialization code off eBay because you won’t get the email even. The free codes are only for Fortress America along with the double XP in their Dew and Doritos.

I encountered a rather odd malfunction that attempted to allocate me xp after I completed a match. It showed me the animation where you see the number of xp you received and the Spartan getting excited.

This is why I speculated,

You do realize that the moderators are basically volunteers right? Moderators don’t get paid to be mods. And they will post if they can help, but they don’t speak for 343 as they don’t work for them. So they will never be able to give you the answers you want, only 343 can do that.

If thats how 343 wants to play, then i will just play black ops 2.

lol

This.

No different than hitting the 130 cap in my mind. But I can comprehend the frustration if you don’t play merely for fun.

Its like leveling a character in an rpg. Who would want their leveling progress hindered? fun is half of it and the other half is persistence.

343 will do whatever they want and so will i, black ops 2 is the answer

Double clicked on post by accident. Get over it.

And some people who met all requirements to get all the new levels and specializations don’t get the code. Pretty lame on 343’s part. Say what you will, but Bungie cared more for their community than any other company. Pretty sad if you ask me.
