If we don’t get any new Spartan ops episodes until 2013 what will happen to the matchmaking?
Will we only be able to play the latest missions or will they go back to the first episode and start it all over?
Perhaps we’ll learn more about it in the Bulletin tonight, if there is one.
I’d assume they’d just keep the most recent Spartan Ops missions up in Matchmaking.
Next spartan ops will be next week.
They stated before game release they’ll launch a new episode every week after launch.
There was a rumor before saying that they will release the next episodes in 2013. I think they took the info from the Halo 4 guidebook.

That isn’t a rumour, they did state it. Whether or not it is still the case is a different story.
it doesn’t really make sense for them to continue the season straight away though.

Sure it does, in a pre-release video they stated they launch one episode every week till the seasons end at episode 10.
After that they would look to the community response for a second season.
To lazy to look for the video but its on the IGN or Machinima yt channel.
It does not surprise me though, 343 is not really the most organized company in existence.

The reason I say it doesn’t make sense is that only Eps 1-5 were included on disk, which means we’d have to download the others. Presumably this is so they can use the crimson map pack in the episodes.
It also doesn’t make sense for them to do such a grand scale mid season cliffhanger then release the next episode straight away. They want people to be craving the next ep!

Nothing, there are 10 episodes to a season, who said that they have to be on every week consecutively for 10 weeks? tv shows go on breaks, this has too.

Wow, unless they use this opportunity to fix some of the glitches and balance Solo (or perhaps the entire game mode), SO is surely dead.
Great… First no The Walking Dead until february (Always short it to Feb so dont judge) and now there wont be anymore Spartan ops missions until next year? I really hope this is not the case.

South Park does the very same thing. I don’t know why everyone is complaining.
