He has a point i want to use
What’s gonna happen in 5-10 years to Halo 5. The game is entirely online, to where you can’t play customs or forge without a connection to the servers. And well I don’t want this game to have the same outcome as Halo 2. It’s a shame that the Halo 2 servers were shut down. And when Halo 5 servers close down, no one will be able to play it. And there won’t be another MCC for a looooong time. Is there any way to do what these guys did with WOW to Halo 2, and eventually, sadly, Halo 5
Idk, but this is something that’s bothered since launch and it suprises me that not a lot share the concern.
I tell folk this from time to time. Apperantly it is wierd to want to play old games and have 100% acess to ofline things.
H5 will get a fate worse than h2. H2 had splitscreen.
I agree with this

You’re being a bit too generous with H5’s lifespan. I give it 1-2 years from now until the population becomes significantly low to have any sort of effective matchmaking take place. As for H2 (PC), a workaround has been developed by a few community members and is available in the “Classic Halo Games” section on Waypoint, so you should check there if you prefer PC. As for the Halo games on Xbox, I think the server allocation decisions can only be made by MS or 343i.

Idk the proleague may continue to fuel it, plus the infection boom that may happen. Infection has always kept games lingering on.(akin to its flood roots) Yeah matchmaking could die down, but the fact customs for a halo game could die hurts me

Not just splitscreen, Halo 2 also had: offline multiplayer, LAN over ethernet instead of whatever the XBone uses, nostalgic and memorable maps (for the most part), and a good retro weapon balance. Same with Halo 3 and Halo Reach, and those games have good Forges to make cool custom maps as well. These old games were the good games, it seems.
