How come we dont have a hornet req or a falcon?? i know we got the wasp but come on. wasp are weak and not very maneuverable, but are fun dot get me wrong. but the hornet and falcon can be a three man aircraft vehicle. You could have one guy flying, and one or two passengers have snipers, rockets, hydras, etc. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE! For the falcon i say it should have turrent attachments or it would be just like the hornet. one falcon req could be machine gun turrents, ONI, Gauss, Grenade launcher… … please comment below your thoughts.
The hornet discussion came up in another thread that started to ask what everyone’s fav vehicle is in H5. Those who mentioned the wasp then came up with the good old memories about the hornet and how cool that would be to have it back. One of the cool things about the hornet also was that it could easily carry the flag carrier. While a skilled person can do that with the wasp as well (flag carrier standing on the wing) it isn’t the same and really requires skill.
Ohh… you said falcon… Que falcon feasco ptsd. (I dont mind it, but many hate it due to an over whelming wave of people begging for it. A shame really.)
People will give you all sorts of reasons why the hornet and falcon arn’t in halo 5. Truth is, we dont know. 343 hasn’t said anything on the matter and we all just assumed.

I would really like the falcon more than the hornet tbh. Don’t get me wrong, hornet is cool, but after considering it, it’d be a bit annoying in a WZ game.
Think of it this way: with two people on the side, they can call in high level reqs like the inception canon and just rain death. this could be useful in FF, but PvP might get irritating.
At least with the Falcon there’s a bit of a balance, if I remember reach correctly the pilot had a gun in campaign, but MP it was just the turrets. If they bring it back it should stay the same. It’s a co-op vehicle, like the warthog, a driver and two gunners.
Hornets or falcons would be great don’t get me wrong but I think it’s too late to add them to the game.

I must disagree about the WASP not being as maneuverable as the Hornet, the Hornet is just a tad bit slower than the WASP and I believe the WASP can change altitude faster, the WASP definitely can turn faster than the Hornet, However the Hornet was quite a bit stronger to the point where the pilot would die before the Hornet did…I lost so many Hornets at Avalanche lol I do however want the Falcon back…but I would take a pelican instead lol

yes i agree. the wasp is a little weak on the armor side. cant compare it to the banshee armor. i also wish the turrent didnt overheat as fast. maybe our UNSC engineers will take a look at it lol
Besides the lack of passenger seating on the sides, the Wasp fulfills the same role as the Hornet as a supplement / replacement. It would be nice to have the Hornet return, but it’s pointless really. It’s a bigger target than the Wasp, too.

Do you hear another halo coming out? Halo 5 is going to be here for awhile, so lets hope 343 adds more reqs for our convenience🙂

I’d rather they remaster H3 than half-bake hornets into REQs
And yes I do hear more Halo coming, we literally just got one last month.

The overheating speed is more than likely a balancing thing since the Hornet in Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer overheats, I bet the cannon overheating speed is much much longer lol
We already had our chance to plead the case for a Hornet or Falcon return, but 343 decided to make the Wasp instead.
