What happened to Warzone?

Ever since firefight that’s mostly what I play for Warzone. I recently started playing Warzone again (Warzone Assault seems very low population). Pretty much every match is lopsided, with me joining in progress on the losing side. I thoroughly enjoy a good contested Warzone March, but haven’t experienced one in a long time. Something I’ve noticed is that the new random AI spawns can really screw over one team, creating an unfair advantage for the other team. Having 4 banshee’s fly over your only Armory sucks bad. I’m forced to try and take them down while getting shot at by the other team. Ignore banshee’s will get you killed even faster. What happened while I was away? I’ve got a ton of great REQ’s I’d like to use, but what’s the point if I won’t survive long enough to use them? I feel constantly spawn trapped ever match I play.

its simple. one team uses their reqs and the other team afks in their spawn. the AI being op doesnt have much to do with it

Sometimes I feel like I’m the one who pushes our team to victory. Recently ive been winning a lot.

Apart from people spamming ghost, banshees, h2 beam rifles, and other high end power weapons every single game on one team. I have not came across a game breaking case of ‘not enough people playing.’

Specially sucks in Noctus when your team has the monument captured and the put the freaking grunt in there ugh… Sometimes they put Knights in there.

A better matching system would definitely help.

I think it’s a good and bad thing. It’s good because it gives you an opportunity to take over Monument because it distracts people and clears them out and you also get the advantage of spawning there to take out the A.I. faster if you have the base. It’s bad when you have Monument and you have to deal with attackers and the A.I. at the same time.

I don’t think you can take over the monument with enemy AI in the base. Can you? I’m pretty sure the boss prevents anyone from taking it. I’ll admit, not 100% on this.

IMO that boss spawn is awful. That one inside the monument, AND so many others. A lot of the new bosses snipe you across the map, and you’re not even attempting to engage them. And they’re so OP, it’s never worth it to take them out, so they sit on the map untouched. Mostly the grunt mech and those promethians mantises on Noctus.

i feel you OP. Warzone took a bad hit with the WZFF update. It just isn’t the same.

I like the idea of changing up AI spawns, but the way it was implemented doesn’t seem quite right. Making killing them in Warzone an objective was good, but this update makes them a problem simply defending a base you already occupy. They should be something you need to GO AFTER, not RUN FROM. This changes the whole Warzone dynamic, and not in a good way.

I’ve stopped playing warzone all together. But if I’m bored I hop on and as usual it’s an incredibly lopsided win, this is because one team gets the first boss, they reach Req level 3 first, then 4 first and so on. It ends up with one team having better Reqs before the other team, and this results in lopsided victories.

Warzone Assault is good for me I find matches easier.

Warzone assault was a mode that…“Casuals” flocked to.

Firefight is “easier” so “casual” players don’t have to fight other players.

Less stress , less sweat, point based competition rather than sweat based.

I thought this would focus more on the matchmaking side. Ever since the last update I have had long search times for Warzone matches. And after those long wait times I do join a losing match towards the end of it. Not sure if it is a result of code being messed with in the update, or people leaving the game, but I generally only play a few matches before turning the game off now.
