Here you can see a Promethean Knight killing a Covenant Elite. This is from the E3 Campaign Footage, but, what happened to it?

I mean, it is a Knight killing an Elite, weren’t they allies? The only part on the whole game when you see Promethean against Elites is on the third mission, and they’re Blue Prometheans. Now you can say, “Maybe that was the model of the Blue prometheans at that time”. Well, no. On the same footage, at the end, we can see Blue-Librarian Promethean In-Game footage.

Is this deleted content or something? Is this from future content?

Things change during development, and It is likely just old footage.

The animation sequence was used instead on the mission Forerunner, where a blue promethean takes out the elite. Play the mission over again and you’ll see the little animation. It wasn’t a cutscene.

In the beginning of the campaign, the Covenant were fighting the Prometheans.
