What happened to the Warthog?

In every previous Halo game the Warthog has had 4 separate supports for each wheel. For some reason when I flipped the hog over I noticed that the wheels are connected by an axle. Does anyone know why this is? It really seems to make it seem less futuristic which kinda ruins the Halo feel.

Is anyone else upset by this or any other artistic changes in Halo 4?

Note: This isn’t about how it’s useless in Halo 4, there are enough threads about that.

I suppose the UNSC is on budget cuts due to the new Spartan program.

They are strapped for cash haha,Gotta cut them corners.

Never really noticed that honestly.

If they want to bring in a real Halo feel, some forerunner themed pallets for forge would do nicely.

The UNSC blew their annual budget on the fancy new hydraulic systems that allow the Mantis to -Yoink!- fallen Covies.

Budget cuts.

Takes a lot of money to put in those cupholders.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who remembers.

“Cupholders may just win this war.”

Those are no ordinary cup holders, those are high tech beverage transportation devices loaded with a multi illuminated adjustable liquid stabilization mechanism and a miniaturized fusion coil powered thermodynamic warmth generator.

Nice to see 343 listening to the community suggestions…

Sadly, I don’t think Cup holders made it to the final cut. Unfortunately, the UNSC had already ordered that each warthog had them, and removing them was a costly process.

Hence the downgrades to the warthog design.

lol…that was funny.

The aesthetics on the new Hog are just… bad.

Maybe they just store the coffee in the orange containers on the back. There’s no reason they would make water containers orange, coffee is far more dangerous if fallen into Covenant hands.

Analysts agreed that it helped with morale.

Budget cuts for those Cupholders! Protect the coffee, they’re more dangerous in Covenant hands!!

Next thing you know, we’re gonna have our vehicles made out of Marines, two standing up, one on his belly above the two, and mimicking Prolic Car Sounds!

I noticed that too. It seemed futuristic, and logical to have. It seems like a lot of the stuff in Halo 4 is downgraded versions of things from previous games.

Of course. The covenant are already kicking our -Yoinks!-, we don’t need them thinking straight on a Monday morning.
